Hi,
i want to play on my acoustic guitar "83" like in the "Any given Thursday". Most of the guitar tabs on the net, don't include what exactly he is doing with the guitar while singing Cyndey Lauper's "Girsl just wanna have fun".
What exactly is he playing? Can someon help.
I desperate pausing the DVD. The guitar closeups are very poor.

Purchased this off ebay a while ago...just dont play it at all...I upgraded the tuners to the grover tulip antique green ones and dropped in a set of seymour duncan 59 pickups.� Guitar plays very well...minimal wear (few faint scratches on the back) black pickguard without the epiphone logo....no case included.....just shoot me an offer if you are interested...not looking for a ton

Did anyone else catch this interview paragraph about recording Crossroads on TRY JM?

He has shared stages with the best of them including BB King and Eric Clapton, the latter inspiring him to include his take on Crossroads, one of the blues' holy grails written by the mysterious Robert Johnson and made famous by Clapton with Cream.

Mayer says he had to give the iconic song a contemporary treatment to get away with it.

Not sure if this has been covered here yet but I checked out the TGP thread without too much information. Does anyone have any personal experience with this pedal vs. non-modded TS's? I don't know if I need another TS but it just seems so cool. Wonder if these will be cheaper on the used market in a few months...

Hi just wanted to ask does the JM Sig strat use a standard strat wiring? To me the rolling back to the volume to clean up the tone causes a noticeable loss of highend and the tone muffles up a bit...even just rolling back 1-2 notches.... All other strats i've played dont seem to do this...help!

OK so as of late there's been talk of utilizing theory to learn/write and grow as an artist and I was wondering if any of you try to develop or write a song from a more technical approach.

Usually I just play around with crap until something sounds cool but recently I've been getting ideas from technical ideas.

Title Q really. How muscally trained is John ( I know he went to Berklee for 2 semesters). But I mean in his early life...did he have guitar lessons...does he use music theory (obv not strictly) in song writing + guitar playing? Any info you have post! I'm just really interested to find out how he works...
