The b.f. and I are headed to Portland in a couple weeks. We'll be in the Northwest for 10 days. I want to see Seattle, but beyond that, I'm not sure what else is a "must-see/must-do."

I just stumbled upon this guy Ronald Jenkees today, but apparently he's been floating around online for about a year. I'm just so mesmerized at how quick his fingers are. I'm reading the biography of Jimi Hendrix, Electric Gypsy, and it's a really informative, nicely-written book so far. I'm starting to get into the idea of reading about a lot of the famous musicians because many do have very interesting lives. Do any of you have any suggestions for other books to read on these subjects? Thanks!

My parents just put their 18.5 year old, sick Siamese cat to sleep this past Saturday. I'm sad, (childhood cat), but came to terms with it because he was old and ill. Well, for the past year or so, their 10 year old Himalayan, Beau, (who was my cat before I left for college), has been peeing all over the house. My mom had him checked twice for urinary tract/bladder...

The time has come.
My 91' Ford Explorer has given me one last problem and I am not willing to fix it (it has 220,000 miles on it).
I have exhausted the list of family members from whom I can borrow a car and am so fed up that I think the time has come to buy my first car.

I don't want a new car- looking for something about 2-3 years old, with less than 50,000 miles on it.

I found a gorgeous 2005 Jetta for $12,900, with only 22,000 miles. Perfect...
