That's really surprising to me. Sometimes John spouts off the most profound statements in interviews and i think.. "Wow! How does he come up with this stuff?". He sure had me fooled.

That is a great and revealing article. I guess after the year John has had with all the unwanted publicity, it was nice for him to show off his very real and very normal Family. After all the hype of being famous is said and done, this is why he is the artist and Man we all support. We can all relate and that is his gift really. He writes about what we all experience and does is so beautifully.

John's Parents did good, you can see it in that photo. Parenting is tough I know....

What an amazing article! I love this interview.............It is great to hear what a great relationship John has with his father (and the rest of his family, I imagine).

I thought it was sweet when his Dad said he was glad to see how happy John makes people in the audience. Thanks for posting this article. Great interview!

I actually teared up when I saw this article on tryjm.com. Between the amazing interview and the pics of his whole family together, it was really touching and made me very proud to be a fan

I just LOVE his dad. And those other boys are such hunks. Oh, mercy on me. I better stop. I'm closer to John's mom's age than I am his or his brothers'.

I loved this article and the pictures that went with it. You could "hear" the pride in his dad's words as he spoke about John and then looking at the picture of John looking at his dad and Tony Bennett, you could see the same thing. I'm going to have to pick this magazine up to keep.

I must admit that its completely refreshing to read a piece about John in People Magazine at which I'm not cringing or rolling my eyes, but am actually doing the opposite. I love the comment John made about his father's hands.

I enjoyed the article. It was very inspiring. What a wholesome family.I love that John's dad is happy for him and that he notices the happiness John's music brings to others. Yes.I can definitely say that John's music has definitely and continues to make me happy.It's wonderful when a person is sensitive and observant enough to tune into that when describing John's musical success.

My mom was a younger "babe" in her marriage too. But she always claimed the mental infancy of my Dad made up for the age difference and in that sense, she was way more mature. . .

It's probably the greatest birthday gift John could have: beaming pride and love from his family. It must make every doubt, every worry, every struggle the family may have had with his career totally worth it when this is the end result.

I guess he gets his height from his Mom? She and his brothers look quite dashing. What an attractive, loving bunch.

There's a nice interview with JM and his dad (Richard) in People Magazine this week (11/5/07). It's the issue with Queen Latifah on the cover. JM and his Dad celebrated their birthdays last month together.

There are some really nice photos of JM his mom, dad and brothers.
