And as for the Best Male Pop Vocal Awesomeness, I'd like to acknowledge John Mayer for being so generous with his gifts in music, but also for being so outspoken regarding his admiration for I'm Yours. I am so glad John won! I'm glad he won because my dog's dad and cousin didn't win at the Westminster Dog Show yesterday. But, the news that John won fills that void. Congrats to John and Chad! (Chad wins too, non?)

I loved the Ellen show! It was really cute and funny. I set the DVR at home because I was at the gym when it aired here. I got my kids out of the gym daycare and walked past the treadmills which were facing a wall full of televisions and guess what was on the tv's??? John in the borat suit! And of course my oldest daughter yells really loud, "Look Mommy, there's John Mayer wearing his weird green swimsuit again!" Nice...everyone stared at us as we ran out the door....

If someone else hasn't gotten Ellen before tonight, I'll have the entire show later this evening. Jen is upping it for us...

laila, i don't think the state's any more proud of him than they are on any other day. just think it's a slow news day...plus they like to point out when people from CT do ANYTHING out of the ordinary as it happens pretty infrequently. small state, you know. not much happening.
