Usher, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Mariah Carey and more stars have been confirmed to partake in Michael Jackson's memorial service tomorrow, July 7th, at Los Angeles' Staples Center. Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson and Lionel Richie will also appear at the televised event, which will additionally feature actress Brooke Shields and Los Angeles Lakers stars Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson. Steph - Lesson learned here is to distance yourself from tabloid media and becoming involved with the judgmental conversations they generate. Find an honest and trustworthy entertainment news source and disregard the rest, and do step up to add a quiet voice of reason if you feel you must. Unfortunately too many feed the beast -- die perezhilton.com -- but at least you can make that choice for yourself and stand with that decision. Change others by setting an example.

I couldn't agree more. I think MJ spent his life trying to achieve the childhood he was denied -- everything from the exotic pets to the plastic surgery. Probably down to hanging out with boys (though I will reserve judgment on what actually went down with that situation, I don't want to deny anyone's pain if something tragic actually did happen.)

He was a little boy lost, with a tremendous, universal talent.

the reason no one mentions ringo is that i'm pretty sure MJ only owned the rights to specific lennon/mccartney-written songs. paul was actually the one that advised him to invest in music publishing, and apparently michael said "i'm gonna buy your songs" and paul thought...

Michael Jackson epitomized the meaning of the words Music and Dance. No one ever came close.

Its so sad, the whole thing, and simply how he had to pass before I could watch all his wonderful work I missed on TV today.

He died from a cardiac arrest today, ...I think John said it very well...

I think we'll mourn his loss as well as the loss of ourselves as children listening to Thriller on the record player.

no matter what you thought of the man himself... his music was his legacy.
