Hmmm. Well, then I'm calling it my lucky day since I prefer that artists engage me and tell me who they are outside of their lyrics and music heard on a cd. Stage presence is a big part of my live musical experience, and I give him an 8 for entertaining me pretty thoroughly.

You know, it's funny. The first time I saw him...he was really quiet at first. But midway through the show, he totally opened up and was just entertaining everyone with his funny mannerisms and personality.
Second time, less talkative, more about the music (which I've heard a lot about this tour in general). I really think the atmosphere, his mood and a lot of other factors must influence his stage presence. Definitely interesting. Are you thinking about the Rockboat 2005? If so, will you be new to the boat? If this is the case, make sure you use referral #6185! 2 drinks on me on the boat. You have my word!

I interviewed Amos last April... the first thing his manager said to me was "He only wants to talk about the music..". He was very hesitant to even answer questions about his hometown and stuff. None the less, he was a cool guy and the show was great..
Now that I think about it that was kind of the first date I had with my boyfriend. The music is so heart heavy. lindsay

I just gotta interject something here. I ADORE Amos and when I saw him live he was hysterical and while I hate that not everyone has had that same "fun" introduction to his personality, it actually makes me happy to hear that he's NOT a cookie cutter, same every single show type of performer. While that's fun and you know what to expect from those types of artists (like the same damn joke for 3 years),
I like the fact that he's human too and has his days where maybe he just wants to focus on the music and nothing else. To me, that's real and I find it relateable so I appreciate that quality in him. That's all I have to contribute. Hahaha...I'm just glad everyone seems to be enjoying the tour. ~Linda

Release date is actually October 3rd.
He's got a new song up on his myspace page. Definitely his most radio-friednly tune to date, but I like it. It's still Amos. www.myspace.com/amosleeofficial |

One of his songs was played at the end of ER last night. It was a great song. Even my wife said, "Wow! Who was that singing?"

man, i even searched for this thread and nothing came up... anyway, footage from the show i went to in london is up on youtube already. it's out-of-synch but the quality's alright. the version of soul suckers he played that night gave me goosebumps. and you can hear a new song of his called listen. he actually played a lot of new material that night... all good stuff.
Soul Suckers Keep it Loose, Keep it Tight Dreamin' Sympathize Listen amos also fessed up that night that he's thinking of going on hiatus to go back to teaching for a while... can't wait to hear what he comes up with when he returns... ![]() |

My sister and I have been listening to him a lot lately. He's definitely part of the blues/soul kick I've been on lately.
