I wonder what will happen if Heath is buried in Australia. I bet they won't be able to do it then!

I almost made it through an entire BBC (?) documentary on them once, and it seemed like most of the offspring were lawyers? Or am I making that up? So maybe
they know their way around the legal system as far as picketing funerals go. (I can't believe I typed "picketing" and "funerals" in the
same sentence.) I hope Ledger is laid to rest "in peace," with the least amount of intrusion possible for someone of his standing.

Those people are crazy. They're the type of "Christians" that make the rest of us a bad name. They take the Bible and pervert it to their own
agendas--that's usually considered a sign of a cult. They use all these verses in the Bible to justify their stance yet conveniently leave out stuff like
Mark 12:31, "'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." Nowhere in that passage does it say "unless
they're gay."
Also, they aren't affiliated with any sector of the Baptist denominations. They just tack that on there. |

nowhere in the quran does it say to blow people up either. it is the biggest issue with religion that things like scientology and other crazy teachings can
become so accepted and parroted because of some peoples search to be a part of something and to have guidance on how to live.
why can't people start acting like adults again and stop this childish bullshit coverage of everything celebrity all the time. the man is dead. this isn't someone going into rehab or getting arrested...seriously. sad? yes. worthy of even a quarter of the coverage it has gotten? not even close. |

Ok, the creepy thing about that Batman movie trailer is that Heath looks a lot like Brandon Lee did in the crow

Mel I totally thought of that when I heard about this. My sister texted me while I was driving home from work and I was shocked. Still so upset.

Mary Kate Olsen = the new 911. What a difference 90 minutes makes.
"According to the police, at about 12:30 p.m., a housekeeper, Teresa Solomon, arrived at the apartment, at 421 Broome Street in SoHo, to do household chores. At about 1 p.m., she went into Mr. Ledger's bedroom to change a light bulb in an adjacent bathroom; she found him on the bed face down, with the sheet pulled up to his shoulders, and heard him snoring. A masseuse, Diana Wolozin, arrived to give Mr. Ledger a massage at about 2:45 p.m. At 3 p.m., after Mr. Ledger did not emerge from his bedroom, with the door closed, the masseuse called him on his cellphone but got no answer. She saw him laying in bed. She took a massage table out of the closet and began to set it up near his bed. She then went over to him and shook him, but got no response. Using his cellphone, she used a speed-dial button to call Mary-Kate Olsen in California to seek her guidance, knowing Ms. Olsen to be a friend of Mr. Ledger's. She told Ms. Olsen that Mr. Ledger was unconscious. Ms. Olsen said she would call some private security people she knew in New York, and hung up. Ms. Wolozin again shook Mr. Ledger, called Ms. Olsen a second time, and said she believed the situation was grave and would call 911. Ms. Wolozin called 911 at 3:26 p.m. to say that Mr. Ledger was not breathing. The call occurred less than 15 minutes since she had first seen him in bed and only a few moments after the first call to Ms. Olsen. The 911 operator urged Ms. Wolozin to try to revive Mr. Ledger, but Ms. Wolozin's efforts were not successful. Emergency medical workers arrived at 3:33 p.m., at almost exactly the same moment as a private security guard summoned by Ms. Olsen. The medical workers moved his body to the floor and then used a defibrillator and CPR, to no avail. Mr. Ledger was pronounced dead at 3:36 p.m. By that point, two other private security guards summoned by Ms. Olsen had arrived, as had police officers. The police said that all five witnesses - Ms. Solomon, the housekeeper; Ms. Wolozin, the masseuse; and the three private security guards summoned by Ms. Olsen - were fully cooperating with the authorities."

I know that if I ever got into an accident the first person I'd call would be Mary Kate.
I'm really bummed about this, and I hate it for his kid. |

I wish they would stop speculating about what happened and just wait until the toxicology reports come back. First you hear there were pills all over the
place, then we find out it was just 1 bottle of pills by the bed and some in his medicine cabinet--all prescribed to him. Then we hear there was a rolled up
$20 bill with "powder" on it. Then it comes back negative for illegal drugs. Then we hear he had pneumonia.
The truth is, no one knows for sure right now so just stop reporting on it and let us know when the medical examiner has the results. He could've had some unknown heart condition. The media just needs to shut up about it until they know for sure. And who is giving them all this information? |

a heart condition would have showed up in the autopsy. when i read that he had pneumonia, i was praying that it was a pulmonary embolism because it would have
been a quick death, but an autopsy would have shown that, too. i'm really hoping that once the tox results come back it will truly be accidental. like
maybe the poor guy just mixed the wrong two pills or something in an attempt to get some sleep since he was sick.

Shanna, that is my bet. The death feels completely accidental. I wouldn't want to be that housekeeper - she must be killing herself over "letting
him sleep." Not that it would have worked because it was too late, but seriously, neither housekeeper or masseuse knew CPR? They way the news is
reporting, 911 had to instruct the masseuse on CPR over the phone. Or at the very least, suggest she do CPR.

I wouldnt be surprised if they knew cpr, but when it came down to it were too scared to do it/blanked out on how to actually perform it.
im still completely heartbroken over this and i wake up hoping it was just a horrible prank. i havent been this sad about a celeb death since john ritter. caseyt23 (8:53:09 PM): richard young thinks you suck |

I don't know CPR Eek. I was horrified by Nancy Grace last night. I was able to watch for about 2 minutes before I had to turn it off I was so disgusted.
The type of speculation on that show was just irrational and disrespectful.

Not only do I know CPR, but yerlilsistah has known too since she was 7 years old. Because in all likelihood, she'll have to do it for me before I'd
need to do it to her. We joke about getting a defibrillator for the house.
I'm old.....

hahaha! Ya gotta love him for it!
I'm agree with you Holly, that it feels accidental. And what a tragic waste. There was an article in the LA Times today, an appreciation piece, that called Heath Ledger one of the few young courageous actors working today. The reporter called him a artist that was willing to take unusual roles that questioned society's pre-defined notion of masculinity without regard for his box office clout but more for the complexity of bringing troubled characters to life. Suggested that in a few years, he'd have been considered one of the best in the world had he'd lived. |

Well I have to say I'm glad that Heath's Folks are bringing his body back to Australia and burying him in his home town of Perth. That should put any
plans by those crazy churchie funeral picketers to an end. AND........ if they "are" crazy enough to send some of their cronies to Aus to
crash/picket/ruin the funeral (or whatever the flipping heck it is they do), they'll be in for a very rude shock as we Aussies are very protective of our
own.
I have to admit that I was not a huge fan of his and have not seen many of his movies but nonetheless, i am devastated by the news. An absolute tragedy. |

I thought this was just a rumor going around TRB at first. Then walked by a tv and saw him being wheeled out and was so physically sick to my stomach. I have
no idea why this affected me so much. I enjoyed him but its not like he was a favorite actor or anything. I think its because if I made a list of 100 people
that might die this year he wouldnt be anywhere near it at all. So horribly sad.
