the airport shoe thing has been taken to ridiculous levels. i was once behind a woman who was in her own wheelchair, meaning she obviously needed it. they
made her take her shoes off and stand and they didn't give her anything to grab on to. it looked like she was going to fall over.

doesn't get mobbed by all the crazies

Ah, security. I always seem to forget about the shoe thing unless I'm wearing sneakers. There have been a few times I've been wearing flip flops and
they even make you take those off.
So excited to fly down tomorrow! |

isn't that funny... I love the sunglasses i was just thinking how much better they fit his face than the aviators and I think his hair is growing
out..maybe a new haircut it just looks like the length is longer...
and the shoe thing is not bad..yes what Jocelyn said is terrible..but jesus you just take off your shoes what's the big deal? I fly enough to know. off with the jacket, off with the shoes, take your laptop out of the bag. don't put anything in your pockets, don't bring liquids, ..pack them in your bag...not hard. and he can't get on the boat early hahahaha the boat is on turn around. the artists have their own vip line. but they board with the rest of us. just can't see them do it.

Be careful at Miami airport everyone. Especially if you are flying with American Airlines there. My suitcase still hasn't arrived and it's being
considered as stolen from the Miami Airport!!!!

I always get so annoyed when they ask him such STUPID questions, I want to smack them for him!yeah, exactly. you'd think the photographers would know by now that he actually lives in the area. it'd be different if he was returning from botswana and they asked how he liked botswana...

Joc, I feel for you.....the thing that just makes me cynically laugh EVERY time I fly with my brother is that of course he sets the alarms off....he has a
titanium plate in his jaw, titanium in his arms, and both of his legs are titanium. They make him get out of his chair (there's not much to it, it's
one of the very lowbacked ones) and they make him take his legs off!!! He got so fed up about a year ago when someone told him to, he looked this person
straight in the eye and said, "They were blown off in Iraq, believe me I'm not packing anything in them." Guy didn't say much, just gave him
his legs back....asshole should have been embarrased (my brother looks like the stereotypical Marine, couldn't really not know he wasn't.) Now he just
doesn't say much, HUGE pain in the ass to go through security still...
I say if you aren't grossed out at the floor, wear flip flops. If you are, slip some socks on before you take them off, and ditch the socks when you're done with security. Worried about an underwire, sports bra is the way to go for the day. Make it as easy as you can on you and everyone. And Susi, I am SICK for you and your suitcase....please tell me nothing severely valuable in it???? Oh, and speaking of my brother and airports....my little PSA...Marines love to be thanked for their service in airports, though they will never tell you that.... Lez |

John. Can tell you dress yourself though.
Yeah I thought the taking off of shoes was a security issue. I myself might be on a plane sometime in the future (going from west to east Australia) and am wondering if they'll do the same with me! (Time for a pedicure) |

Anny, they only make you take your shoes off here, on a domestic flight, if you "beep" as you go through the metal detector during the security
checkpoint. So no hiding any of that Kalgoorlie gold in your soles or heels, mmmkay

I hurt my foot and I'm in a "walking boot" for about a month. I have to fly with it next week, and I'm not looking forward to it.
However, I checked the TSA website and it says that they're not supposed to ask you to remove orthopedic devices, so the idea of them asking someone to remove their legs seems odd. Thankfully, I can remove the boot and walk on my foot pretty easily, if it's only for a short time. Now I'm just waiting to hear if they'll let me have one of the seats behind the bulkhead - this boot is huge and I can't really tuck it under very well, like I normally would. * Dangerously Crafty - the blog * Auditory Images - concert photography * |

I was reading a camera review online and I noticed that it said "Posted by John Mayer" on it. You look for yourself:

Wonder if it's him.. it's pretty lengthy. Has he the time to do that? Dec 17th.. hmm

couple of things.
1. If that really was his review, I doubt he'd use his real name. 2. Doesn't John have some kind of sponsorship from Nikon? I doubt he'd be promoting Canon stuff. But my guess is as good as yours.

okay.. this is going to make me look like a crazy person.. but I'm going to post anyways... I doubt that it is him..probably someone with the same name..
I'm sure JM's not the only John Mayer.
He was doing that Nikon blog for a short period of time. But the most recent photos that he has posted lately on his blog were taken with a panasonic camera, and he generally seems to use his Leica M8, but then again who woudn't. I would love if it were him, because I'd like to read the reviews on the cameras that he uses because I'm always looking for "something better" than what I have. But I woudn't get my hopes up people.
