If you have any photos from the disco the night of the alleged incident - perhaps contact Sixthman or Carnival, or your local FBI office and see if they want copies. You might help catch a criminal and perhaps bring the victim some justice - likewise you might be able to help eliminate innocent people from suspicion. I plan to follow this case pretty closely - please let me know if y'all want updates or any insight on certain aspects of the case. (And if I'm wrong in posting this - my advance apologies, but I think it's important enough for all of us to be aware of... at this point, it has nothing to do with John personally or his music.)

Woman Files Suit Over Cruise Ship Rape Claim

MIAMI --A Jacksonville woman said her dream cruise ship vacation turned into a real-life nightmare after she was raped onboard.Morgan Black said she has filed a lawsuit against Carnival Cruise Lines and the Sixthman LLC, the company that organized the cruise.The attack happened in February on the Carnival cruise ship Victory, she said. Black said she and a friend booked the cruise to see John Mayer perform.

Black said she was dancing at a disco on the ship and went to get a glass of water from the bar."A man asked her if he could buy her a drink," said her lawyer, famed attorney Gloria Allred. "She said, 'No,' and stated that she just wanted water."Black said the drink was not just water. She said she became lightheaded after she gulped it down, and she said the man then pushed her under a table."He then violently sexually assaulted and raped her," Allred said.

Allred said the cruise line should pay for the crime because there were no surveillance cameras in public areas on the ship, and she claims there was a lack of security in other areas."If either or both of these measures had been utilized, we believe that the sexual assault that Morgan suffered would have been prevented," Allred said.Carnival Cruise Line released a statement saying, "Since we have not yet had the opportunity to review the lawsuit, it is not possible for us to comment on the specific allegations. However, we want to reinforce that the safety and well-being of our guests and crew is Carnival's No. 1 priority."

Allred comforted Black during her announcement Thursday."I am not the same person I was before the cruise attack, and I will never be that person again," Black said.

Black said she believes the man who attacked her was a passenger and not an employee.

The FBI is investigating.
