Ooh, I'm excited about Guster! I've had a lot of their stuff downloaded, but haven't really had time to listen to yet. What I already know of
theirs is good, though!

well Guster makes perfect sense...they opened for Mayer a long time ago...but more importantly, Guster guitarist and vocalist Adam Gardner and his wife Lauren
Sullivan co-founded Reverb.....
and again Mayer ties in something and someone. Its like where's Waldo with Mayer everyone is connected..it's like 6 degrees of separation...The man is
linked to nothing without a connection
amazing...
debbie actually I think this is kinda cool, kinda shows the boy looks after his own....however Guster is great with me. Last time I saw them live was at the Austin festival...they were wonderful... very cool addition.

I was always bummed out that I missed out on Guster and Mayer together in one package that tour, so now I am just happy with having John and Guster on the boat
now...

ah i see, i shouldn't have that issue since i'm on the taller side so i'm sure i'll be okay.. but i suppose i would be the reason why you'd have a hard time seeing
debbie: i have a few things to take care of right now in case you're wondering where your referral is. will come in due time tho.. |

SO FUCKING EXCITED for guster. i've listened to these boys since '97 when i was 15. i saw john open for them at the tabernacle on 04.14.01 and then i
saw them co-headline with john, playing the first set on 09.14.02. this is excellent.
as for tune recommendations of theirs, their latest studio album ('06), ganging up on the sun, took awhile to grow on me, but my favorites off that one are satellite, c'mon, manifest destiny, and one man wrecking machine. start to finish, i probably listen to lost and gone forever the most, but demons is still my favorite song of theirs. i'm most excited to see them on the boat because i haven't seen them live in 3 years. ~jocelyn

I'm was glad to see that they announced an artist and that it was Guster. I really like the song Satellite and have had that album on my amazon wish list
ever since that song came out. I will have to buy one of their albums soon to hear their other stuff. Sounds good so far.

I was SOO excited for that email! Perfect first band to announce. I LOVE Guster! I first saw them open for John in 2002 at a steel factory and was hooked ever
since. Haha I think ACL was the last time I saw them too in 06, I could be wrong though. No I think they played Summerfest last year. Well anyways, I think
they are awesome live!
Please use my referal blondangel26 for the Mayercraft Carrier! I will buy you drinks onboard...message me for details. Thanks!

Satellite is my favorite song of theirs. Off to a good start with the additional artists.

Here's hoping for some classic mayer-guster tour pranks that only a mayer-guster combo can produce.
Perhaps Scotty Crowe will show and someone can spread rumours about his STDs again, just for old time's sake... |

Jocelyn2003 wrote:Joc, I'm excited, too! They are such a fun band and will add a cool vibe to the boat. I've seen them about six times. They also opened for John some shows in the midwest during Spring 2004 tour. Brian, aka Thundergod or bongo boy (my own personal term of endearment), is freaking amazing. Pam |

I saw Ray LaMontagne and Guster a few summers ago and they played a great show, great banter too. I loved Satellite and Ruby Falls from the
last record. There's a great trumpet part in there. I love how this is coming full circle with Mayer and Guster together. It should be a good, good time.

Wow, totally excited about Guster! My husband has been a great sport about me going on MCC without him--last time he could have cared less. This time he was
a little bitter that he's missing out on Cabo--he's already been there and he knows what he's missing. He absolutely loves Guster so I had to
break it to him gently. At which point he said, "wow, you really suck."

scared my son to death when I let out a huge yell when I read Guster was on board!!!!! Saw the last year when they were in Dallas, was just a great, great
show. The band is busy right now all welcoming babies into the world, so they will be fresh and ready to perform by this cruise.
This just gets better and better, as well as finding more friends who are coming on board (PAM!!) Lez |

Guster is a great addition to the boat, really a perfect fit. Talented group of guys and all of them are real cool. Been listening/seeing them since 1995
when it seemed like they became the Villanova annual house band.

It made my day yesterday to find out Guster is coming on the boat! I saw them open for John in '04 and have been hooked ever since. Just saw them perform
here in Indy last summer too. I think they are so much better sounding live than on their CD (big surprise!).

I know I should be posting this stuff on the mayercraft message boards, but they're currently down. I am looking for single roommate over 25 to join me, my
friend and her brother. We're aged 19, 20, and 24 and are completely normal, non-weird people. Send a message my way if you're interested.

Jocelyn,
Just read your opening of this thread with the JT lyrics. Let's add the next part: "Never really been but I'd sure like to go." I love that song, thx. |
