couple of days later, but here we go: I drove 7.5 hours to DC from North Myrtle Beach, SC for this show, picked up my friend, and drove another hour north (b/c of traffic) to Merriweather. The venue was nice but looked kind of old, and it was crazy overcast when we got there. We got into the gates and I went straight to the merch and bought some shirts and some food, and as we headed to our seats, it started raining pretty continuously. Once we got seated, the bottom DROPPED, and it started monsooning on Columbia, MD and all of the DC area...thanks for the covered seats, L-83...Man, you make me feel terrible for that, because I did not drive from North Myrtle Beach (while on vacation) to see Pearl Jam in DC. But, I must say, 9 hours is record time. Sorry for the monsoon, but glad you enjoyed the show. I love your home town, those waves are some of the best "music" in the world.

doesn't quite make up for missing PJ, but, the view from my balcony, pretty sweet.
