Posts: 164 (08/07/2008 7:18 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None Hi, I'm a little nervous about posting this since I am not entirely sure that it is allowed, I read the Read this first and didn't see anything glaring at me. I went to Hard Rock Calling a month ago (in London), and they are showing the show on MHD today (http://www.vh1.com/artists/rock_on_tv/sort.jhtml?type=artist&motvId=1220799&title=John%20Mayer). I would really like to see it, but they arn't showing it in this country. The other thing is that I was in the front row bang in the centre, and John Mayer referenced the guy standing behind me, and I got on the main screen loads (cos we were the only ones who knew the words) , and I am on the hard rock calling site, so I would quite like to see it. If anybody knows a way I can watch it/ download it I would be really grateful. If this is illegal then please delete the thread. Cheers, Will

Was front rowing it too at that gig, though little to the right and just so you know dude you weren't the only ones who knew the words, you just got lucky in position. Will say though that it was bloody funny when the chubby guy with the arms folded got ripped on though.

The guy who JM rripped on was real pissed off about it as well. I was talking to him before it started and he was a clapton nut- he had been to every clapton gig in the uk for something like the past 10 years. I predicted the setlist (correctly) and was wearing a vintage Clapton t shirt- and he was a prick. Good times though.

Generally Comcast subscribers get this channel if they have the box that is for High Def Tvs. The Hard Rock Calling they showed had some interview footage. The only JM songs were WOTWTC and Vultures. They started Gravity mid solo. No real stage banter. Sorry guy looking for this banter. The end is the Finale and I must add the sound is crap. John is the only guitarist that you can not hear, even when he solos. They show one Mraz song, and the horrible sounds of the Bangles. I didn't care for them chopping up the Police. They also got maybe two, three songs tops. This was also shown on VH1 Classic.

Check the summer download thread...seems to me it was taped, and therefore all the banter/etc would be there. I can't say I do recognise you but still, nice to see a fellow front rower seeing the jokes haha I really thought he was gonna kick into just a full Continuum set that day just because he had done the first three tracks off the album in set order, still good to hear Stitched Up played live, one i've never heard him playing without Herbie Hancock Last Edited By: hendrixhaze 08/08/2008 8:25 PM.
