 This maybe a stupid thread, but I was so aggravated by watching this guy,
I actually wanted to kick the shi* out of him. The jumping around, stupid
faces, dumb hair flopping all around, just his whole demeanor.... He just really annoyed me to the point that I actually had to start a thread about him. Damn,
I think he may have actually ruined my day. And we thought our boy John

I really pride myself on not being a "hater", and try to only post constructive comments and feedback...but this guy really sucks ass. It's
everything I hate about guitar players. He's not 10% as good as he thinks he is.

I think people get confused and ahead of themselves.
It SHOULD be like this --> You learn to play, you get some chops, the chops sound great, you get to the point where you're feeling/playing a solo with such feeling that the faces just come of their own accord. Some people see the 'greats' making faces and try to make the faces before they've got the required chops to go with it. This is one of those guys. |

It hurts watching somebody "try" and have the same presence and charisma as John. I saw a video a while back of a high school kid playing in a talent
show and covered some JM. His impersonation was even worse than this.
Aside from the weird feeling I got from watching him act like a complete idiot...I did kind of enjoy the Lenny cover. |

worrrd up... I won't hate on the dude. He's 19 and pretty damn good (yes sloppy, actually I think "choppy" and not very fluid is more like
it). Just tone it back a bit dude. Your not rich and famous, so don't act like it, yet. Get up there do your thing and yeah its fine to feel the music and
get into it but good lord... (it really did seem like he was trying to channel some sort of crazy Mayer faces). I guess he only did play those two songs so
maybe he was trying to bring his intense energy full force up front (and overdid it in the process). But it would almost seem like if these antics were
genuine, then there would have been a climax or some sort of build up, or intense intro to kick it off, something. It's almost like he got on stage and he
was already at the apex of his energy, or whatever you want to call what he was doing up there, and kept the same ridiculousness throughout his entire set. But
we are all in no posish to hate, I mean the dude was a finalist in a pretty legit competish, and he is 19. I'd like to think I could do better but I have
nothing to show for it other than a ridiculous myspace page (ahem.. myspace.com/logangrahammusic). So way to go dude, just try not to be so much of a goo next
time, that's all.

Wow...well sadly hes not that bad, i don't know whether he was horribly nervous or what. the first song sounded like he started soloing to a completely
different song. Nothing fit but he did have some decent playing. Very choppy out of time and place. he does just need to relax a bit

I really did not enjoy watching or hearing that. I didnt even know that a band was playing with him because everything he was doing was so distractingly
unpleasant. Unpleasant is actually my best word for this. And Lenny on the acoustic? Come on...Unpleasant.

I guess when you only have 15 minutes of fame, you put it all on the line like this guy. I'm personally not impressed.

His rendition of Lenny was aweful. I only heard 10 seconds of it (it was Lenny right?).. but it was not good.
His playing was sooo sloppy. Not good at all... knowing that this guy made it that far makes me feel a ton better about my playing. |

to all the lovers who say "well i'm nowhere near that good" - that's why you're not on a goddamn tv show. if you have it, flaunt it. if you don't, don't contort your face into idiotic shapes and pretend like you do.
