Yeah it's said the poll is closed since they added the date to the website, so I don't know. Some kind of glitch. Hope they can fix it!

Dude, when he sang Wheel last year, a drunk woman kept singing it to the one Russian cashier who had absolutely no clue wtf she was talking about. She kept
saying, "Do you believe the love I give will returnnnnn to me?" He just looked at her like, "You are a crazy, crazy lady."

CaitSings wrote: Actually I didn't see too many 'high rollers' Maybe there were a few in the seated section? I saw a bunch getting upset when they couldn't buy tickets an hour before the show started though. Wheel was def a highlight for me...he sang a really cool outtro that I hope somebody recorded. Not sure if it's been played before. Stiched Up was amazing and Bigger Than My Body was a really fun opener. Overall it was a really fun "intimate" show. Me and the girlies were in the front row and he seemed to really enjoy the little cluster of people around us. One Republic was worse than I had anticipated. Horrible (almost painful) mix and all the songs sounded the same. Oh well. OH! And to the girl whose' friend passed out not once, but twice and almost a 3rd time until security pulled her out again: You suck at life. Seriously. If any of your friends was unconscious at a show (we all thought she died) would you really refuse to go with her just because you had front row?? Other than that it was a great night! Kinda wishing I had seen more shows this summer...

The crowd last night was seriously impressive. I don't know, I was expecting a lame crowd, but this crowd (including the comped guests) happened to be
really into this show. It was definitely an older crowd as well, but they were very much into the show and that made the evening that much more enjoyable. The
crowd really knew a lot of John's music and a lot of people were singing along. You could barely even hear John over the crowd during "Free
Fallin'."
When John took an opportunity to read all the signs in the crowd and reply to them, it was priceless. "Wheel" was definitely the highlight. AMAZING version of "Wheel." I honestly think it was the best version of that song I've heard John play. Also, I did see a taper that was standing near the soundboard with nice equipment. I didn't talk to him (because I spotted him during John's set and didn't want to bother him), but hopefully the tape surfaces. It's really interesting to me to see how different the vibe was from Hartford to AC. It was just completely different in a sort of indescriable way. It's not a bad thing, either. It was just different. It goes to show that seeing only 1 show on a tour may not be enough! |

It goes to show that seeing only 1 show on a tour may not be enough! I'll agree with that... there are some shows that are similar...but there is always a little something different with the vibe from each show. John never does a carbon copy show. It's why after all these years they are still fresh. debbie

RichardYoung wrote:Totally agree with this RY.....wayyyyyy better crowd than I expected. I had the time of my life last night (well over the whole week actually), but last night was so much fun. Didn't get to bed until 6 this morning.......today is not the best of times. Wheel was awesome. Also, I had my favorite conversation of the tour last night with a random girl in the middle of John's set, I'll call her RG....it went like this..... RG: "Are you important or something." PT: "What's that?" RG: "That thing around your neck (pointing to tour laminate)" PT: "Nah, just on tour with John for this week, I'm an old friend of his." RG: "Are you in the band?" PT: "Nope, I'd be on stage right now." RG: .....(confused look)........ cue James, Dan, Carl and Ben laughing........ |

Great show last night. Was front row with the same girlies that Avery is talking about and had a blast. My favorite part included my friend shouting her
intense "like" for John (among all the I love you Johns) and John giving her a confused look and being left speechless and then launching into No
Such Thing/Why Georgia.
Still a pet peeve of mine is that John and apparently many others do not realize that Atlantic City is southern Jersey and is considered part of the Philly area. They get all the local Philly stations! It's actually south of Philly if you look at a map. I don't know why that bothers me so much. I think it's because someone actually made a poster about it and he acknowledged it. Anyway, it was a great way to end my summer tour shows. John seemed to be in such a great mood last night, guess he won in the casino. Anddd I won $125 within 5 minutes of gambling (which is a lot when you're playing 50 cent slots), so I was pretty happy too!

I agree. Last night's show was really amazing. I noticed on the way out that his brothers were there- I think that was so great. I also agree with Avery-
that girl who's friend passed out does suck at life. Overall the crowd was good- however I did run into some really rude people; considering you're at
a John Mayer concert, I didn't understand why it was necessary to get rude and hostile.
After the show we ran into the band and noticed John was at the same sushi place as us. We went over to say great show- he's amazing as usual. |
