I checked John's Honeyee site and this is what I got with a countdown??? some of you are hip must understand this??? debbie well....they all say check back on 9/9/08. i wouldn't be surprised if it's a honeyee-type event where they want their bloggers to post something every day for the 100 days beginning on 9/9?? seems to me, the last time john went 'on hiatus' to write an album, he took up myspace blogging. perhaps he'll do that again now that he's got some down time and it seems the paparazzi is back to not caring what he does... maybe he'll have it out for the kumquat this time, instead of a pear/cherry tomato. -Cait

Posts: 2 (09/07/2008 3:20 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	so, yeah. i dont post here at all but I wanted to give feed back on a certain concert I went to last night. obviously i am a huge fan of JM, just by joining this board. but... i saw maroon 5 last night and yes it was a great concert, but my expectations were a bit too high. when the guy would start to try to riff, i was let down. now i wouldnt be able to do what this guy did. i just wanted it to last so much longer. i appreciate JM so much more now. I understand why I am a fan. even though my family and friends are idiots and think its just because he looks good with a guitar. again, maroon 5 is great, I just am now more a fan of JM. I tried really hard not to brag about John during the concert, just because my friends were huge fans. but during the encore I had to say... John wouldve played MORE songs. anyways, i know this was probably a stupid post for my 2nd one, but I still had to share.

Everytime you said "ooh Johhn" in bed, wouldn't that be strange? I once dated a guy that had the same name as my brother and it didn't work. Posts: 36 (09/07/2008 10:07 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	first - if my screen name shows up as sweeps9.maroon5 it's because maroon 5 has the same system and i can't change it. now that's out of the way - there is no shame i getting bummed out that Adam Levine is not the guitar god John Mayer is. he doesn't noodle and jam like John - m5 stretches their songs, but you won't find an 18 minute "she will be loved" in there. i liked maroon 5 when they first came out and then the first Mayer show i went to, they opened for him. it was the last show of the tour and they pulled out all the stops and gave a great show - both bands pulled pranks with Maroon 5 running out in Catholic school girl uniforms and posing for pictures with John during Your Body is a Wonderland (priceless). since then their sound has changed, but i look at the bands in two seperate areas. I keep Mayer at the top (next to the Grateful Dead for me) of favorites and Maroon 5 is in the mix of other top picks.

I wouldn't compare Adam and John. Maybe you can compare Adam with that kid from the Jonas Brothers. But to keep this JM related... I totally forgot James Valentine played on Continuum.

However, I do not believe Adam is a 'poser' as you say, Amanda...he actually is a very good guitarist! He just leaves all the heavy lifting to Jimmy V so he can concentrate on what he does best__singing his heart out and running around on stage putting on a show! LOL He's got a very unique voice and knows how to use it. But I've had opportunity to see him play guitar and he's no slouch. I would never compare his prowess to John's tho! JOHN RULES! Cool story, eh? Thought it was cool though, because it had a good chunk of John's set and a few interviews. I don't get the station because I only have basic cable, but it looked pretty money. It's all concerts and music videos...I want it. -drew.
