We are all in this together... I am no different than you. When I play a show I'm lucky to get 14 people to it. Most likely some band with a huge following
will win. All we can do is try...

Hey guys, I just posted this over on the Musician's thread and thought what better place to post it than to the folks that are going on the actual cruise?
Anyway, here's my entry to play the Mayercraft 2:
http://www.playmayercraft...stage.php?artist_id=25019 I've got a few of my original songs uploaded, along with a cover of John's version of "Free Falling", and a video for good measure. Please vote for me if you'd like to see me on the cruise!!!! |

When do they announce the rest of the theme nights? I haven't missed anything, right? My vote is for Halloween / costume night, cause my Halloween was kind
of lame this year...

Anyone hear about getting a chance to Play on Mayer Craft 2. I saw this on another forum and decided to post here...An all expense paid trip to Jam with John
Mayer...
Ernie Ball Partners up with John Mayer to Give One Lucky Band the Opportunity to Play Live on Mayercraft Carrier 2 COACHELLA, Calif. (November 12, 2008) - In March of 2009 the Ernie Ball Company will take their niche for finding unsigned talent and jump on board one of the most anticipated cruises to set sail since The Mayflower. Mayercraft Carrier 2, hosted by Grammy Award winning artist John Mayer and produced by Atlanta-based Sixthman, will take passengers on a 5-day/4-night adventure cruise from Los Angeles, CA to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Along the way guests will enjoy non-stop live music and theme nights that are all sure to live up to John Mayer's everlasting quest for a good time. This year's Mayercraft Carrier has an added dose of excitement as Ernie Ball will once again play host to a world-renowned Battle Of The Bands competition. Unsigned bands as well as singer-songwriters from across the globe will have the opportunity to upload their best mp3s by logging onto http://www.playmayercraft.com/ and see if they have what it takes to join the likes of John Mayer, O.A.R., Guster and others on stage at one of 2009s most sought after musical events. Ernie Ball has engaged FameCast to power the submission site for "Play Mayercraft," using FameCast's proprietary contest management platform to collect and present each band's songs and rank them using a variety of metrics such as online fan voting and community engagement. "Partnering with the Mayercraft Carrier 2 was a natural fit for Ernie Ball," said Brian Ball of Ernie Ball. "This program is our way of giving back to the bloodline of our consumer base, as opportunities to play live at major festivals are few and far between." As an official sponsor of Mayercraft Carrier 2, Ernie Ball will also become an integrated part of the cruise, with signage onboard the ship and brand association in Mayercraft Carrier 2 print and online advertising. The sponsorship was developed and secured by Nashville-based TVX Group, Sixthman's exclusive sponsorship firm. Log onto http://www.ernieball.com/ for updates on this and other Ernie Ball events. |

The 24 hour pizza was the only decent food I had on the first Mayercraft.

I guess I'm a food snob because chocolate lava cake does not impress me. Soooooo many places do it. Only place I was impressed with that was in Bora Bora
with tahitian vanilla ice cream on top.

I will be all over the late night pizza again!! That was actually decent. But I didn't go gaga over the molten lava cake. But I am not a huge dessert
person so that's my explanation.

If anyone has a Ruth's Chris steakhouse near them, they have a dessert VERY similar to the molten lave cake....just went there this week and had it....but
they call it the "upside down chocolate souffle". Almost felt like I was on the cruise again.....almost!

Hey all, one of my best friends and favorite musicians Jonathon Carr in the running for mayercraft. We would really appreciate if you just gave his tune
"The Jokes on me (featuring John Mayer)" a listen and if you like what you hear, please vote for him at http://www.playmayercraft...d=25678&mid=15659&mtype=1 or
check him out on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/jonathancarr88 His tune features John Mayer, so even if
you don't want to vote for him, It's defiantly a song thats worth a listen. Hope you all dig it!

Forgive my skepticism, but why would John play on your friend's track? Also, forgive my ears, but I didn't hear much guitar on the song. The guitar that I did sounded like anyone could have played it. How do we know it's John that's playing?
