My main problem is that I'm not sure if it can record vocals and an instrument at the same time. The instruction booklet provides no help as well. I want to be able to record vocals and my electric plugged into it. I figured the more experienced people here might be able to help me if anyone has any experience with this product or similar products. I'm hoping the above inform will be enough for someone to check out quick and be able to give me a yes or no. If its a no then I have the gift receipt and I can go exchange it. I've been trying and will continue to try it on my own to see if I can figure it out, but any help would be greatly appreciated. If you require any further info on it just ask. Posts: 2 (12/25/2008 8:27 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Hey Pyro, I took a quick look at the specs and I'm 90% sure you can use it to record both your vocals and guitar at the same time. I would plug your vocal mic into line 1 and plug your 1/4 inch guitar cable into line 2, start with the left (L) channel. Then go into your audio programs of choice, create 2 tracks and select the vocal mic (input 1) for the first track, and the guitar (input 2) for your second track. That should get you there. For an extra 30 bucks however I think the audiogram 6 would have more of the features you'll be looking for in the future. Hope this helped a little bit. Good luck, interfaces are bitches in general.

I was able to record my guitar on one track but im having difficulty getting the two tracks to record the two different inputs.

I'm taking the whole thing back to guitar center to see if I can get some help with it, if not Im just going to exchange it and get something with more inputs and more intuitive software.

But it's a lot easier if you can simply graduate from a basic PT system to a more advanced one. I love RME products but they are pricey. I use both the RME Fireface 400 and 800 at my house. ------------------------------------ -pat

Posts: 363 (12/26/2008 6:20 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I returned the Audiogram3 today and got the M-Audio Mobile Pre USB, seems to be a better fit and I was told it can do what I want (record guitar and vocals at the same time on two tracks). Plus it says its Pro Tools compatible which should make life easier in the future. It also says that it comes with Live Lite 4, I have zero recording knowledge and havent even opened the box yet, but hopefully this will be a much more pleasant experience than what I was dealing with with Cubase and the Audiogram

I was going to get that, but I got a Tascam Fireone instead. Good luck with the recording. It's kickin' my ass right now. I can't figure out how what I need to do to mix/edit to save my life.

LE and M-Powered versions are almost mirror images of each other. Student / Academic version of Pro-Tools M-Powered come with a mobile pre USB for about $150 !!!!!!!! (or firewire 400 for about 275) If you are in school (or know someone willing to loan you their student ID) - get this instead.
