I think one of the amps in his rig is a fender, I'm pretty positive hes got a jtm45 in his rig but i could be wrong. I was just wondering because his tone
is so swampy and thick so I was just wondering if anyone on here knew.

Doyle is definitely one of my faves, so much groove in his soloing and he has an awesome tone. He used Marshall Super Bass heads for a long time with Clapton
and on his album Welcome. Ive just seen some recent pics of him playing with the Arc Angels and the Marshalls are still part of his setup. On the Crossroads
dvd in his own set he was using Fenders (twins i believe), and I've seen videos of him playing twins while in the arc angels back in 92. At one point he
was even using a solidstate Yamaha head, and his tone was still amazing!

I think he is absolutely brilliant. He is amazing he is like Albert king and srv combined but like more funky. I'm gonna have to try one of those super
bass heads.

I can kinda see how you could think that. That would be awesome if John and Doyle just cut like a sick blues album. |
