A lot of the mystery is gone, they ARE time traveling, but not everything is explained and I hope they will somehow address it all. For instance the
specialness of some of the characters and how they all came to be there. Were they manipulated to be there? Are they suppossed to be there for some reason?
The Others who were not a part of the Dharma initiative. Where did they come from? Who or what are they? I mean, they never age but yet it doesn't seem
like they are time traveling. When Locke asked Richard "Where did you guys go?" He replied that it was Locke who moved, they went nowhere, which
implies that they are not time traveling. I hope when the show is finally over they post some kind of explanation of who inhabited the island when, where they
come from, what they were doing and what happened to them. Kind of like a family tree of the island. There have been so many references to people "The
Adam & Eve" of the island (man and woman's bodies found intertwined) etc that they need to explain where they all came from and how.
And I loved Hurley! He is so cluelessly adorable and good hearted. |

The lady at the end was in Desmond's episode when he was time traveling and remembering. He encountered her once in his life when he went to a jewelry
store to buy a ring for Penny and she told him basically that he couldn't get married right then. Then he saw her later in a picture in the office of the
monastery type place he was staying for a while. I am assuming that she will also turn out to be Daniel Faraday's mom (since Daniel gave Desmond the
message to go back to Oxford and find his mom). Now we know she is obviously connected to Ben and he seems to take orders from her to some degree. So it will
be interesting to see if Daniel is some unwitting pawn or if he knows more about what is going on than he is telling.
Oh, also she is from the movie The Others and her creepiness made the movie. Aurelia |

Thanks Rea, that makes a lot of sense. I remember her now from Desmond's episode. It would definitely make a lot of sense if she was Daniel's mom.
Haha, I do remember her from the movie The Others and she was totally creepy (still is really)

Rea, you're right. Still plenty to ponder. I always like your thoughts on LOST. Your end-of-last-season thoughts turned out to be almost entirely right
on!

I really liked last nights episode. I so love me some Desmond and the fact that he and Penny had a little boy and named him Charlie just made my heart melt.
Of course Charles is also her father's name, an unfortunate downside. And the whole John Locke telling Richard Alpert that he was their leader and
basically being the one to give Richard the idea to go scope him out as a newborn and a young boy as we've already seen in other episodes was a nice bit of
tying pieces together.
Charles Widmore was once on the island and one of The Others. Did he get kicked off for his obvious attitude problems? He just wasn't "Other" material? And then at that point did he begin to age (Do all the Others not age or just Richard?). And call me crazy but I don't trust Widmore to have given Desmond the right information without an ulterior motive. Desmond shouldn't have trusted him either. It's those little things that sometimes drive me crazy in a movie to show, when a character does something that you know any self preserving human wouldn't do. Aurelia |

I read somewhere that Charles Widmore might have moved the island like Ben did, which is why he's no longer on it. I don't know how valid that is,
though.

Makes sense. But then that would mean there was another threat that caused them to move it. Wonder what?

Just watched out Tivo-ed LOST - great episode. We melted at Desmond's son's name. Now we know what caused the radio activity in the mine we recently
saw Faraday working in, in some other time period. They did bury the H bomb as Faraday instructed.

I predict that young chick on the island is Daniel's mother. My boyfriend thinks it is Charlotte's mother though and that is why she is bleeding and
stuff. Because she is being wiped out.

i think charlotte is experiencing what Desmond did from time travel -- she cant (or needs to) find her constant

I 100% agree that Charlotte is bleeding because she's experiencing the same "sickness" that affected Desmond and the others on the boat. And on
that same note, perhaps this is the exact same "sickness" that killed off all of Danielle's people. That still hasn't been resolved, after
all. Maybe they'll jump to her days on the island during these time blips so we can see what happened. Also, if Charles Widmore did have to move
the island before, then that would explain why there would have been time loops in the past, which could account for the reason Danielle's people came down
with the "sickness." Perhaps Danielle wasn't affected because Alex was her constant? I'm still unclear as to why nobody except the Losties
move during the time blips.
I screamed out loud when it was revealed that the young Other was none other than a young Charles Widmore. My boyfriend was very concerned in the next room. Great surprise in this episode! Loved it. And it presents so many more questions... I have to say too, that it's really sad seeing Desmond promising Penny that he won't ever leave her again. Because clearly he is going to have to return to the island as well, right? I mean, if everyone the island "brings" to it are supposed to stay there, then surely that goes for Desmond too. And what about Michael and Walt? |

Some have theorized that Charlotte may be Charles Widmore's daughter and born on the island. Remember how they made the comment about her trying to
"come back" to the island and find where she was born. Charlotte is the feminine form of Charles. Now we know he was there and she could have
totally been his child conceived on the island and born their somehow. And that would make her Penny's sister. However Penny looks older than Charlotte,
way older. So not sure how that would work exactly.
Daniel's mother has a connection to Widmore, Ben, the Others, so it makes sense for her to be there too. Probably right about that being her mother. Which gives me another thought.... That guy, Abbadon or something, recruited all three of them (Daniel, Charlotte, Miles). Perhaps not just for their "skills" but because they are ALL related to the island and it's former inhabitants. Sooo, could Miles be the child of that Doctor/Scientist guy that does all the "movies" for all of the Dharma stations?? Aurelia |

Oh,and I still don't understand what a constant actually is.
Someone who was with you in both lives, on the island and off?? Wouldn't that make Daniel and Miles and Charlotte all constants?? Aurelia |

rea- I have thought for a long while that Miles, Charlotte, and Daniel were all recruited for that exact reason. I like the fact that it feels like Lost has
actually been giving us some strong indications of answers this season. I think the Miles being the scientists son was an easy jump, as was the Ms hawkings
being Daniels Mom. I have heard some rumblings that Ellie and the young Charles Widmore bickered like siblings...so yeah...there could be some cousin on cousin
love going on with Charlotte and Daniel, haha

AureliaEC wrote:Well, there is the whole issue with people not aging so maybe this could be possible. I also wondered that about Widmore - if he didn't age until he got off the island. He looks old but I might pinpoint him and Locke around the same age - and in the scene where Locke is talking to Richard, it is still 2 years before Locke is even born and Widmore is already a teenager. |
