Ok, so how come we haven't heard anything about the tix for One Splendid Evening from Sixthman??? Are we still going to get priority like they said we

I think they jumped the gun Monica...there isn't a website to access..nothing there yet..... although they give you a link in that post that Cait made,
that doesn't work yet.
I called Sixthman this morning and they have no info and they will get back to me. I am wondering if we will have some kind of special number or presale, because they promised us that we would be seated before anyone else according to our booking time. Also we would not be spending as much because we already spent the 199 for the extra night. I doubt if they can change that now. They would have some very very angry cruisers. so I guess we wait and see. I still want to know how they are going to get all those extra people off the boat. sounds like a cluster fuck waiting to happen debbie

I'd miss out on is Jordin Sparks because I have not seen her before. I saw Gavin for cheap in the summer, most will be onboard the ship already and I will
be seeing Sara at Schuba's with less than 200 people total. If that is the final lineup, there aren't many that aren't on MCC already. The website
doesn't work because they released the information too soon. I spoke with Sixthman today.

So aside from the One Splendid Evening event, how is everyone feeling these days about the cruise lineup?
Gotta say, I'm pretty darned excited. Way back when they first announced O.A.R., I was very "meh" about the whole thing. I had heard a lot of their older, more reggae-infused stuff, and although I do like reggae, it just didn't cut it for me. I was kind of like "what's with the white guys doing the college reggae?" Then their new album came out, I gave it a listen, and I did a total turnaround. I've really been enjoying their stuff. I've also been a fan of Guster for a long time and I've only seen them once, at a large festival-type show that didn't seem conducive to vibing with their music. I'm looking forward to seeing them in a much smaller venue. And now that they've officially added DRH, well, I'm just very very excited. And don't even get me started on how killer that Martin Sexton show was last time! It's kind of funny because in some ways the JM show is secondary to some of the other stuff I'm looking forward to. Don't get me wrong the JM shows were great last year and they will no doubt be great this year, but after seeing him umpteen million times I guess it's kind of taking a lot to get me stoked about that these days, especially with the lack of new material. Here's hoping our boy comes out and stuns us with whatever he's working on in the studio. |

Oooh Nicole you're lucky, seeing Sara B at Schubas. I thought about going but waited too long, both of those shows sold out. I love seeing shows there.
It just spoils you on every other venue though, lol. I saw her when she opened for Maroon 5 at the Allstate Arena about a year and a half ago. Her
music...big arena...DID.NOT.WORK.

Yeah, I'm seeing Sara at Joe's Pub in NYC and World Cafe in Philly this month so I guess that's my Sara fill. And she'll be dong full sets as
opposed to 3-4 songs.
But really. Sara and John can go on tour together already. That would be amazing. |

think that through and it seems kinda silly to dress up if you're not doing the show.

I think the cruise lineup is great (although I still think I like last years better...more of my favorites were on board). It's almost like a
transformation to 2002 for me! I saw Martin Sexton open for Guster and John Mayer on their 2002 tour at a steel factory..haha. I loved O.A.R. that year too and
still like them now! Aside from a few, a like a lot of the artists. I think I've seen most of them live already though...o well. Ryan Shaw was good live (I
saw him somewhere 2-3 years ago). I'm excited for Erin because I have not heard her live and her news stuff is good. Brendan is super cool and great live.
I better stop... this could go on forever! I was hoping for more artists and when I talked with Sixthman today they were not sure if there would even be more.
I think she thought there would be more too but hasn't heard anything.
Yeah, she's really good live and super sweet and down to earth! I LOVE Schuba's which will make the show even better. It does spoil us! I have way too many cool memories from there. They sold out in less than an hour. I was lucky they went onsale during lunch at work and on a snow day from work for the other Oh, did you find out about the limo? No worries if you didn't, I'm in no rush.
That would be amazing if they toured! They would be cute together..haha. 
Good question Kristy! That's what I might end up doing...still not sure. I didn't even know you had to dress up in the first place.

The lineup for One Splendid Evening does not impress me. I was not going to spend the extra money anyway to go so this makes me feel better. I don't feel
like I will be missing much. I think that the line up for the cruise is decent but I do think last year's was better. I have been hoping for more artists
or someone who I could really get excited about. At this point I don't think that's going to happen. They are so last minute with all the information.
I'm sure I will have fun just like I did on the last boat. I still need to book a hotel and excursion and I'm ready.
