i absolutely love the way he flawlessly leads into the IV from the A lick up at the 11th fret....
EDIT: l33t, i think one finds that john doesn't use his "signature" strats (relic, monty, proto) at home... From what I can tell at least. All the guitar playing i've seen done by him outside of concerts has been done with other boutique, or famous guitars... the L5, the Lenny strat, the Guild, the 335, that beautiful semihollow he used in the I Think She Knows interlude.... Also, in the vid description he says he's been listening to a lot of old blues lately. I'm sure that has something to do with this.
