Gotta agree with avery about the twitter thing. I mean come on, it's 1 thing to follow JM's another to follow all his friends looking for the inside
scoop. I for one don't have that kind of time and I like a little mystique in my celebrities.
"People are like boxes of colors. Sometimes you meet the standard 16 count. I like to consider myself the 64 count box with the sharpener in the back. Lately I've been meeting the jumbo 8 kind. Its like your talking to someone about magenta & she says 'Oh, purple. I know that game' & you're like 'no bitch I'm talking about magenta!" ~ JM |

"SAY" being used as background music in ads for the Prime Time/or 60 minutes, can't remember.... special on Appalachia.

cfayeland, I did not take any pics of Dela on Friday night, I was standing smack dab at the front of the stage, and I'm 5"11 and stuck out like a sore
thumb (had lots of people not so thrilled I was standing there...I'm used to the comments or putting Debbie in front of me to see).....so holding a camera
up right under Dave's face would have been really obnoxious. Dela looked REALLY good---short haired, saw a "sparkle" in his eye, very happy,
very healthy-looking, played wonderfully. He was that old playful self we used to see where he jammed right along with Dave singing, making the silly faces,
playing off the drummer and other guitarist, laughed alot. He just looked HAPPY. My friend I was with might have taken a few pictures (put her in front of
me) and if she did I will post those. It was just very nice to see him again (though I love Mango, too!) out on the road and playing. As much as I really
grew to like Sean Hurley and how well he seemed to fit in with the band last summer, I'll always have a soft spot for Dela. I met him four years ago
before a show at the Gypsy Tea Room (God I miss that place) when he was playing with DRH, he was painfully shy but truly genuine. Wishing him nothing but the
best in the future...

JOHN MAYER: We sing "Just Dance" together in the bathroom! (My second restroom performance in a week!) John's up for five Grammys this
year, including Best Male Pop Vocal Performance! His girlfriend Jennifer Aniston was just here on Friday, and today I ask John about his Valentine's plans!
He also tells me a terrific story about why he literally has only the bottom half of his Song of the Year Grammy… and Alicia Keys has the top! We then
play a Grammy version of my favorite guessing game, "Celebrity"!
The video preview is up on her site if you want to watch it. I can't figure out how to put it up here. |

oh geeze...the preview of him dancing is slightly horrifying. it's really shocking to me that a person who has so much music inside him can be such a bad
dancer. then i remember i'm a horrible dancer too. welcome to the club john...

I missed Ellen this morning. Did he actually tell her what he was doing for Valentine's Day?
|
|||
CaitSings |
|||
|
of course not. does he ever really answer a question with the real answer?? he said he had to keep it a secret and that he likes to do something a little
romantic, but nothing TOO romantic where it gets scary.

The Josh Groban one sounded like Kermit doing Josh Groban. It was bloody funny. Heh, funny Cait, I love Josh Groban with a fiery passion. But I think it's
mostly the hair......
You can take all the tricks up my sleeve.... |

i have zero tolerance for josh groban's voice. i hear so many things wrong with how he sings and i just want to smack him and say STOP IT!! it's the
voice teacher in me. i feel the same way about mayer's singing sometimes, however, he plays guitar well enough i let it slide most of the time.

the full version of the bathroom singing. Sorry if it's already been posted - I had only seen the short of it. Bloody funny. The look on his face when he says "Is there a riot?" is PRICELESS! You can take all the tricks up my sleeve....

Okay, what happened to Bopfer? I guess I will not see the whole show, and it looks really good end-to-end. I love Ellen, but how many folks can watch at 2 PM
live on weekdays in DC?

The Ellen interview was great!!! John was very talkative and didn't let Ellen get a word in at the beginning of the interview. Cait, it
must be a voice teacher thing... because my voice teacher hates Josh Groban as well.

julesnova wrote:Jules, my friend Jen downunder has promised to get us the entire show, so I'll have that for everyone later on tonight or in the morning for download. (Time issues! plus the show repeats there a few times so she said she'd get it 'tonight' which I'm assuming she means tomorrow for us! LOL) In any case I'll post the link up here and the Grammy thread!
