Elvis is this year's maiden voyage. (New this year to Sixthman.)
So... Sixthman is going on retreat this week...coming out with new stuff for 2010 when they are back, so...let's hope we've got MCC3 info soon...Alaska, here we come!

Yeah I wouldn't count on Alaska...
according to Michael McDonald
in the Mick management panel....They were going to stick a pin in that idea.. which meant yeah..maybe when Hell freezes over..or so it sounded like to us....
Maybe John has better powers of persuasion, however, even he said on one of the shows...Alaska?..maybe not have you been on the deck??? wasn't exactly
warm at that time..
where ever they go, we will be there...can't wait... debbie there came a moment in the middle of the song when he suddenly felt

I would not like Alaska...at least not for this kind of cruise. We had to skip out on some of the shows on the Lido Deck the last day because it was too cold
for us. I can't imagine them taking the next MCC to Alaska where everyone would have to be bundled up the whole time. We must go somewhere HOT!

i think we have a better shot of cruising through North Korea than we do of cruising through Alaska onboard MCC3. and michael and ken seemed reaaaaal thrilled
about that N. Korea idea last time it came up...
please just...have it be out of some place that doesn't take me 12 hours flying time to deal with. compromise? make the boat out of TX somewhere???? NY-Bermuda?? |

CaitSings wrote:Oh yeah! Texas would be great. Celebrity cruises out of Galveston all the time. Of course, Ike really devastated a lot of Galveston, but the cruise lines are back. They usually do Cozumel, Cancun, Playa Del Carmen. I have done all of them and there are plenty of great excursions. Things are a bit out of control in Mexico right now. My son just got back from Cancun and said they had a lot of police patroling. |

YES! Make MCC3 a Texaribbean out of Galveston. That would freaking ROCK. Houston's what, a 3 hour plane ride for everyone? Texas and dirrrty south peeps
could drive it, even. Woohooooo...
Just hope we get a cool boat - the Splendor looked awesome, better than last year's (Victory?)

We went out of Galveston on the rockboat years ago, right after Katrina... Best music...worst weather cruise I was ever on. That was the one where the
artists actually asked the guys in the front row if they could empty the beer from their buckets so they could puke in them. literally. Could not even walk
down the halls without being thrown into the walls. We couldn't even go into port because of the weather, sea was too rough to anchor.
But the music was wonderful... debbie

docoboc wrote: March isn't too bad. When you get into the late summer months, there's a lot of crazy weather in the Gulf of Mexico. If you fly Southwest you can fly into Hobby airport and it is just about 30 minutes to the cruise docks. I live by Intercontinental (close to the Woodlands) and it takes about an hour to get there. Ok...done deal...who wants to tell John and Sixthman what we have decided? LOL |

ehhh wherever...this was lovely this year. We were talking, us Californians that went,...20 minutes from the port, no airline trip...perfect.
I liked the fact that after so many rockboats going from Florida,...So many airline tickets I had to buy... that he changed it up this year. I know Sixthman did it because John wanted the ship to sail from here. So thanks John. If they want to put it back to Florida next year that would be fine with me too... not a problem either way. debbie

he wanted to go to Cabo...not really a great idea to go to Cabo from Florida... maybe Cancuun, but he wanted to go to Cabo, so a west coast sailing, a first
for Sixthman, was set up.

Spending any time off a boat in Mexico is not the safest thing in the world to do. NY to Bermuda would be killer, come to think of it.

I wanted to go to Cabo and jetski, which I did. The sunburn is only just now peeling and the rocking halted on the 6th. Cabo San Lucas is relatively safe in relation to the rest of Mexico and I wouldn't even think about entering the interior of the naton. I've lived in Mexico, but a long, long time ago and even then it was a corrupt, dangerous and violent place. It is because now they are exporting it to the US that we hear so much about it. Cruising in isn't the way to go to Cabo. From now on I will take that plane. |

I like the idea of One Splendid Evening for 4 days straight...just stay docked somewhere nice! The rocking lasted a week for me. I'll put up with it but
it was awful!
Or what about the idea of a resort someplace? Isn't there anywhere that you could do the same kind of thing set up at a single location? I'm just not keen on the Pacific again! The Caribbean wasn't great either but Debbie you told me about something that was better than whatever the doctor on the ship gave me. On the survey, I answered that it really doesn't matter to me where it goes to or from...I've already decided to go. I don't think I ate more than 5 meals the whole time I was onboard!
Maybe I need to drink more alcohol! I need a new strategy!

teehee...It's a boat people...get over it. If you are basing this on the MCC1? We had an extrodianry cruise. In all my years of Sailing with Sixthman
that was the smoothest cruise I have ever been on...and since the rest of them were in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico (by far the worst) ...you guys
lucked out big time.
It's what comes with a cruise...the boat rocks it's in a big ocean and depending on the weather and the time of year and yes because it's a charter, we can only go certain times of the year...The boat moves. Like I said...ya take the bad with the good, just like any vacation. I like the ships, they are wonderful and come on let's face it this time was so much more organized and laid back than last year...I gove a big high five to sixthman... They set the bar really high, I can't think of a thing I would change for next years cruise... ok maybe Matty Nay..but to tell you the truth we were booked full on our schedule and we didn't even see OAR or Guster play or half the acts on that boat. We never got out of the El Morroco and the big lounge where John played. debbie
