I'm going to my studio in about an hour to try it for real but damn it sounds good even at low volumes (It has the half power switch). Can't wait to get there, drink some beer and do that. i'll be back with a real review and probably soundclips. Let's see if i can get better tone out of that than my bandmate's Mesaboogie Rectoverb. Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	the 100 watt is perfect for me as i jam with loud musicians, and the sweetest tone comes out when the amp is pushed. and Good God, it's just awesome. It has a tone do die for, insane clean headroom if you want to and so many sweetspot i'll have to use diagrams to remember them. It's also very versatile, it nails ford/carlton/mayer and beyond, no need for extra pedals to get high gain rythm for punk/metal/hardcore (my drummer who plays guitar and only listen to these genres couldnt get off the amp for one hour) . I can't wait to get back to it, and i've been playing it 8 hours straight with 3 diff. guitars: a 40th anniversary strat (54 reissue with vintage pups) a fat strat with Texas specials and a humbucker i don't remember, and a mean mean mean Schecter. and every guitar had an amazing tone out of that. It's way beyong my expectactions for a Modded Twin Reverb.. it's very close to the production ODS i've tried at boutique tone in montreal, last summer. ebay rocks. And Yeah aslandean, the switch mellows out the amp enough to play in a bedroom and has an amazing tone, and you can easily play with any kind of band even with at half power, you only have less clean headroom. And in case you wondered, the recording is just the guitar straight into the amp. The sparkle drive sounds great in that amp, but i'll post a clip of that later, i'm too busy finding my fav OD and clean settings right now. Does your fuchs take pedals better than say a brighter blackface amp? You definitely can get a great carlton/ford tone with these things. Brandon

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	My past gear was a Silverface 78 Fender Pro Reverb, Same 40th anniversary mia Strat with fewer pedals : I only had my Sparkle Drive and My rat. All in all I gotta say: way more creamy and fat than on the fender, even more so when I mix them (one or the other) with the overdrive channel and control the gain with my volume pedal or volume knob. I can get from smooth overdrive to a plexi sounding distortion. It's a weird animal but it can do anything and just loves pedals. It's the perfect workhorse for what I do. my setup right now is: Strat -->sparkledrive-->ProCo Rat--->Ernie Ball Volume Jr----Y Tuner/Boss DD7--->Fuchs. I had heard they were pretty versatile and I really want an amp that can do a sweet blackface clean tone and then some serious rock tones. I'm still deciding whether or not I have to have two separate amps for that. If the fuchs can actually get into plexi territory I will have to try a couple out again. Brandon
