she really digs music when she sleeps, but the problem is that everyhting she has that plays a little song, turns off at 5,10, or 20 minutes, Whenever this
happens, she immediatly wakes up, its unreal. So i was searching for a 24 hour music source. Most of the stuff i have seen for babies is classical...luckily
she is still to young for that sing songy crap they make for toddlers and up, a la barney and the johnas brothers...yes i did just lump those two together.
but then i found it. This company called Rockaby Baby...they have a big catalog of artists, and its all play on zylephones and bells...really something amazing. I downloaded the Beatles Yellow Submarine album and it has been on loop alnight and i havnt gotten sick of it. I was really cringing at the idea of hearing songs over and over again, the kid type. I remember an interview with Zack Efron, some mother asked him how he didnt go crazy with High School Musical, singing all the songs all the time. He answered something like, well its crazy having to sing them two hours a day, every day. The Woman responded, TWO HOURS?!??! I have the CD playing in my car, in my house, everwhere 24 hours a day!!
I have been really impressed with them. They have some Pixies, Stones, really an odd level of collection that actually fits my musical tastes perfectly...Bob marley...i mean the list goes on...its well dont, doesnt sound like cheezey synth, and you can download them from itunes.
I know you all arnt parents, but you migth want to check it out. Their main page has samples running constantly. Might be kinda fun to grab a few tracks from itunes for car. It first reminded me of all those symphony renditions of CDs, like one i have of REM.
