brandon is correct. the girl is AWFUL live. she is NOT the total package. one would have to be a good singer live to be considered the total package for me. don't tell me she's 18 and she'll get better. i've been able to sing live well since i sang by myself for the first time at age THREE. age is not a factor. you either have the talent or you do not. she does not.

i have never claimed to have any want for a career as a performing musician. moreover, if i decided i wanted to pursue a career as a classical singer, i wouldn't have one for at least another ten years providing i started to work at it tomorrow. classical singing is a completely different vein of musicianship and training than the average joe who sat in his room playing guitar and slowly built up a following. the opera world is about the training, the degrees, the apprenticeships...and the fact that as a woman, my voice isn't done developing and training until about age thirty. the repertoire suitable for my voice, eventually, is not something i can even touch until i have even more training than i have now. training that i guarantee outweighs whatever vocal training you have.

i've also never claimed to know everything about singing but i certainly know more than most people around here do. i certainly don't think i act like i'm the shit. i do think i have a very educated opinion when it comes to singing, though. however, the day somebody shows up who knows more than me, i'll be glad to shut up and learn from him/her.
