I must've seen that picture 1000 times - and I never noticed the sound hole of the guitar...
its a rubber sound hole mute. Does it realky reduce feedback? I just thought that it dampened vibration. just a guy named john |

They are a must if you're using any sort of PA system or mic.
It won't matter if you're plugged in directly, your sound's already digital .

so if your going to a DI box, do you still need one?

I always used one when performing live. 1) Because I would get feedback if I didnt. (2) Because I don't like hearing my guitar sound from both my monitors
and the projection of the actual guitar.

If your pickup is a mic or a blender with a mic, then yes. If its just a transducer then no. |

Why is Sheryl Crow in a bikini exactly?

I dont think its a necessity. I've played my OMJM through a DI -> PA without one. and its great... no feedback or anything. I mean, we dont see too many
pictures of john using one...

Kind of interesting now that I realize if a hot girl wearing a bakini walks up to me......I immediately start paying attention to John, lol

A sound hole cover isn't essential. If you're playing solo acoustic with no stage monitor then you'll be fine without it. But if you are with a
loud full band and have a stage monitor, you need it if you want to hear yourself.

Mayer plays it without the sound hole cover, a lot of times. I don't remember seeing it on AGT...
I'm brazilian, if you'd like to know. Sorry for any english mistakes!
