I don't like stock ones or the TS-7 and 9, but the keeley mod makes the 808 into one HELL of a pedal

the katana is basically extends your guitar's volume knob to 20. also if you pull out the knob, it adds a hint of gain. GREAT for stuff like AKOG or Man On
The Side.
i don't really know how it compares to other clean boost pedals. Im just a keeley fanboy... and I liked how it sounded in the shop. |

Yes, I asked a few days ago in the Gear Thread if anyone knew in which songs he usually used the BD-2 during the trio tour, but didn't get any feedback.
I'd guess he uses it for GLIOTW and WDYTIW (at least sometimes), but I can't tell for sure. I'm pretty sure he used it for the Come Back to Bed solos too.

On WTLI, if you listen on the chorus of Good Love, I notice a slight filtery/wah-ish type sound...is it just me? what is it? on the little riff after
"Good love is on the way"
"Cats are cute. But kittens are cuter." -John Mayer |

Going to try to run the MIDI with my Timefactor. I just sold my Sunlion and that will be replaced with the Lovepedal BBB07. Running this through a Two Rock Custom Reverb and 1x12 Two Rock cabinet. All the cables are from Lavaman and are either Canare GS-6's and Lavaman Solderless R/A to Straight. The Lavaman Solderless are far easier to assemble and sound a ton better than George L's...

@ Csapo
Any particular reason you decided the Timmy was not for you? A lot of people hold that pedal very high on their ladders.

cu jarrett wrote:It was a close call between the BJFE EGDM (the green pedal) and the Timmy. I still have the Timmy, but I needed more drive for a couple of tunes and the EDGM gave me that. It has a very Vox-ish vibe going on. The Timmy is a terrific pedal and worth the short wait. The builder, Paul, is a great guy and makes a unique and terrific pedal. The Timmy will never be leaving me (although it's big brother, the Tim, was just sold tonight. I just wasn't using it enough). I use the Klon for boosting and keep it outside of the loop/switcher. I use the Dirty Dan (top right corner) for a raggy, tweedy tone, which I need for a couple of tunes. The other dirt I use and my primary OD is the overdrive channel on the Two Rock. We are covering "I Don't Need No Doctor" and I use the TR OD for that. I experimented with a number of OD pedals for this tune and ended up liking the TR OD. I'm also using a Tele with the neck pick up!!!! Sounds way richer than any of my strats. I wasn't expecting it and this really floored me!!!!!

I added a tap tempo to my board. Hope it helps playing live. It seems like it will make things much easier. It also will end a loop without having to double
tap on the DD7 which is nice. On with the pictures.

i will snap a pick (if it isn't already in this thread somewhere) when i get a chance. Nothing much to see. I am trying to turn into a minimalist, let my
amp do the work. keeley bd2 and 4 knob comp, analogman ts9 (good choice) nova delay, and byoc trem. not even a tuner.

I am replacing a few pedals on my board. From your experience is with the Keeley compressor, is the four knob necessary? Thanks for your help.

I'm thinking about selling my Keeley TS-9 Mod Plus. I've got it up on local classifieds. If anyone around here's interested, PM me. I also have a
Bitmo Trio modded Epi Valve Jr with the mods installed by a pro tech. He also built the 25 watt attenuator from Bitmo for me too that I'd sell.
