I know this has nothing to do with anything, but I've recently been enjoying the song Lifelines again. I hadn't listened to it in a while. It's gotta be my favorite unreleased early Mayer song. . Great chord progression. Seems like it could have found a place on room for squares. Anyone here that got to see his early Eddie's Attic shows, was this a popular song live?

We rented Ghost Stories a couple of months ago--yes, it's been a busy winter--see my post in "Johnny Boy" for what's been consuming
me--and I was so delighted to hear "Heart of Life" as the credits rolled. I've never heard John play this one in concert and it doesn't seem
to make the "deep cut" plays even on the hippest radio station in Indianapolis (WTTS-FM), but it's one of my favorites. The movie was kind of
uneven--I thought "Heaven Can Wait" and "Ghost" handled similar themes much better--so the closing song was a very neat little surprise.

girl" area at his concerts so they can annoy each other. A little scream here and there is one thing, but if you are outright annoying the hell out of me,

Classact, I don't know how many shows you've been to, but the screaming is already there. Always. Old and young. Doesn't matter who's doing it
and likely will never change. Well...maybe when he's playing Shady Acres nursing home in about 50 years.
Songwriting with the next generation has got to be a thrill for him. Just think of the great music that our kids will enjoy (for some that's sooner than for others). Plus, I know I've said this a million times, but you 20-somethings are truly missing out on some great music because someone is affiliated with the Disney channel. Like Paramore? I GUARANTEE you will like Demi.

I would think definitely early 2010 if we've got a fall release date. Dates in October, November and December are up in the air and I would think we'd
hear something by August.
ETA: Demi is 16, I certainly hope not. |
