I doubt this performance is any indication of a Trio record, although I'd love it, but since Steve and Pino are around this record is Trio-infused just
like the last. Obviously Steve and John are producing together again and they wanted to capitalize on any opportunity to play together since they were all in
town. All I know is that if Pino is playing the base on any of these songs, the groove will be there. I actually thought they would play a Hendrix tune since
John played Manic Depression with Jeff Beck earlier this year in April, but I'll take the Trio anyway I can get it no matter what John's got going on.

ETA: just realized I'm sitting here listening to Derek & the Domino's while my dad's sitting watching YouTube clips of John Mayer. You can't beat that shit, man, ever. That is a pretty bold and true statement-- it's full circle. Clapton age 30, Mayer age 30. I wish there was other super guitarists that got together to make a super group like they could back in the day. Like a Jack White, Mayer, Derek Trucks super band or something. |

Thanks for Hunter from me as well. I now have a new ringtone....
I got goosebumps watching this last night. Although I doubt it will make it onto a Trio record or any record for that matter, it'll sit nicely next to performances like 'Sweet Home Chicago' from Conan's former show and the 'Crossroads' with Clapton from Good Morning America. And even if it's not an indicator of a coming record, it's a damn good indicator of how these three musicians just plain click. This performance seemed more like an end of the tour DVD taping than a one-off as far as their cohesion is concerned. I for one am willing to wait for quite a while if this is any sort of an appetizer. -Bill my youtube videos

Rivalius, thanks a lot for posting the link to download the video. I had a problem though- my video was really choppy in it. Other than that, the sound and picture quality was awesome. Would you/anyone else know how to fix it? I played it in both iTunes and Quicktime and downloaded it a second time and still had the problem. Again, thanks for posting it. |

Andy wrote:Well what are you after, if it's just the audio type "Youtube to mp3 converter" in google and its the third (NOT FIRST whoops) link. If you want a video i'd recommend Videora ipod converter, it works well for me and from it you can downlaod stuff like DvD Decrypter, which helps in getting DVD's onto Itunes and what not. With Videora you can set quality and stuff. Other than that, change the vid you download. If thats not your question "whoops" and please rephrase it

I think the original had a very gospel vibe Fred, and I think the Los Angeles Children's choir gives this the same feel.

every heartbeat in the room & after that he never forgot he was part of something much bigger...Brian Andres

2. My life is all about music and photographs. This would've been a nice signature... but John Mayer skipped Asia, again. |

am I the only one who:
1) had trouble with the visual of sweater-vested kids in the fish tank, as in hysterically laughing 2) thought the sound for the choir sucked royally ?? So nice to see the Trio, and I want so much to be as delighted as most of you, but it's falling short for me. I'll never get another meet&greet at this rate.....
