he was one of the only guys at the time that could get gear that would closely match up with mayer's gear (at the time), haha. but now he's selling his shit as it seems he's in financial trouble. If that's the case, then pwneeeeeddddddd. |

IIRC, he was trying to get rid of a lot of his gear for a while. not because of financial reasons, but because he just didn't see the need for everything.
a bit excessive, ya know? i'm pretty sure he wanted to rely solely on the Charlie guitar and the Two Rock

Unless you make tons of money, dropping that kind of cash on gear is never a practical thing and will probably catch up to you. I don't know Steevo's
situation or claim to know, but my guess is he saved money til he had enough for the "dream gear of the moment." Dropping 3, 5, 10 grand for gear is
just tough to do. You enjoy that til the honeymoon is over, then sell it.
I also think he put a little too much stock in the gear making him a better player. You don't know any more licks with one guitar than another. Im all about buying gear thats inspirational, but there is a balance that needs to be there. Again, I know nothing about Steevo's situation besides what he did for a living. It's all my guessing. |

Hey man, glad to see that you've strayed away from TGP... I think that we're more nostalgically reflecting on the past.
Although, the totally random BS thread got started as a L33t bashing thread in its first life. I did miss the big throw-down, and its epic nature still gets batted around from time to time. Steevo was around more when the musician forum was much more about content and a whole lot less about bickering and morons. He offered vids of himself and
frankly they were pretty darn good and helped anyone to get a start on the pieces he was working on. That said everyone on here that knew him would agree if he
had some gear for sale you could trust him implicitly and never have to worry about getting burned.... ever. Perhaps if there had been more musical oriented
opinions and less sophomoric humor and criticism, he might still be around more sharing his music.
