Does anyone have any recommendations for the best place to buy high-quality Stratocaster bodies? I'm aware
of http://www.warmoth.com/, and from all I can tell they certainly seem to have a decent
selection. Anyone know of any other reputable sites? I'm looking for the highest possible quality I could buy, something as close to Fender Custom Shop
quality as possible.

guitarmill.com USACustomGuitars From what I know, you can purchase bodies from any of them in a variety of woods and also in a variety of pieces. (i.e. 1, 2, or 3, piece body) Heard many good things about USACG. You can call them directly and speak with them to explain exactly what it is you're looking for. Shop around, I guess..

ALLPARTS is decent enough - just $$$ and they don't offer much in alternatives. Avoid B. Hefner at all costs.

allparts can be hit or miss. i've never personally had an issue with them but i've read about some people who have. their prices are pretty good from
what i recall.

Are the bodies, for the most part, interchangeable with the necks?
It is something I've wondered about. For instance if I bought a new Stratocaster guitar body, like a ReIssue, American Standard, or Highway One then would the neck of my Mexican strat fit properly onto those? Would a ReIssue or American Standard neck fit onto a Highway One body? |

Hey I have a significant question for this thread.
Are Stewmac (Stewart-MacDonald) Bodies any good? You know, shape/countour wise, detail wise. They sell them only in universal/pool routing and have them in alder or ash. pretty sure Stew just sells Mighty Mite necks and bodies, and then forgets to mention that in his listing...ive never really liked that about him....like all

Check the website.
Well they're speaking as if these necks and bodies listed are their products/ creations. I wouldn't doubt them because, well they have a shop and their job is to make parts and repair supplies. Plus the Mighty Mite bodies look a lot different... What made you think they're MM? |

wowo, yo, if you think stew mac actually make most of their stuff you are wrong. they are a parts supplier...they buy stuff from wholesale companies and then
they sell it to you. if you look at the Strat replacement neck, go to the addt photos, and you can clearly see the Mity mite logo. id be willing to bet they
dont actually "make" 10% of what they sell, and that 10% is prob tool based equipment
