^^ I was there and I don't think anyone taped the whole show. I didn't see that many people shooting video at all.
Met John for the first time by the way!!He was very gracious and kind to everyone. Got a picture, he autographed by Continuum booklet, & he gave me a guitar pick. I couldn't believe that one minute I was getting off work ready to go home for the night & the next minute I was seeing John. It was totally surreal. That place is tiny!

ITA re: above. "Field Trip" = "War of My Life." I went back and listened just to make sure, and that mood and melody is very distinctive.

Mixed feelings here; happy to hear the new song and that fans got their fix, sad that I missed it. I was online till just after 9 and I guess John posted just
after that. Oh well, I'm not able to walk very well at the moment due to an injury, so I wouldn't have been able anyway....

I know it is an early cut, and I am certain the studio recording will be wonderful...BUT from a musicians standpoint, he is crossing into what I consider to be "dangerously simple." His guitar parts are getting increasingly less complex, I miss the detail. That is just me though, the guitar on "friends, lovers, or nothing" felt a bit bland to me, I am a little bummed to be honest. Ok....quiet now JJ, give him time. Right, is that what i'm supposed to say? patiently,

So what kind of guitar was he using in that video (Friends, Lovers or Nothing)? Never seen it before, but it sounds great. I'm still not sure I think The
Hurt would make it on this album, although it does go with the Battle Studies theme. I like Friends, Lovers or Nothing, but it's not my fav of the new
songs....Heartbreak Warfare still is
Anyone feel like ripping the audio from that vid....pretty please??? ETA: why are you posting vids from the last HC show? There's already another thread for that on here....

In case you guys were wondering what happened to me: yes I did go. No I didn't get in! A couple of friends and I were on the road by 9:40 or so,
got up there right around 11, and there were already close to 100-150 people in line! We were about 3/4's of the way back, another friend was probably half way back. The place was ALREADY sold out solid, John hadn't even arrived yet, and they weren't letting anyone else in! Grrrrr. They came out and told everyone and people still stood there waiting just in case!! haha We hung around for a little while longer, went around to the front door and listened to the beginning of his set. The stage is right there so the sound was actually pretty good...but eh...we moved along! Went to Mels and got some grub and then hit the road. We had an adventure and it was fun anyway, we gave it the old college try___but yeah___didn't get in! Wahhhh.
