Jack Johnson and John Mayer, though. That'd be something. I wish him and Sheryl Crow would do another tour.

Scratch out Colbie Caillet. She's cool, but not on the same level of greatness as John Mayer. Pardon my gushing.

Was listening to my Gov't Mule cd this weekend and had the thought that JM should cover one of their songs. Add some more funk and blues to it.
"People are like boxes of colors. Sometimes you meet the standard 16 count. I like to consider myself the 64 count box with the sharpener in the back. Lately I've been meeting the jumbo 8 kind. Its like your talking to someone about magenta & she says 'Oh, purple. I know that game' & you're like 'no bitch I'm talking about magenta!" ~ JM |

Has anyone suggested "Vehicle" by the Ides of March yet? (That Buddy Guy tribute vid got me thinking... JM's got the personnel to handle the
keyboard and horn parts/solos, and there's enough guitar in there to keep all three of JM, DRH and RMc busy, plus the vocal is low enough to where JM could
probably handle it. (He wouldn't have to rely on DRH for vocal a la "Panama")
She's the wisest pony in all of Ponyville.

Everlong, wow that would be an amazing cover JM may have to rework it though so the song suits his voice better, Grohl has a very "rocky" voice

I would like to see him try out (I Love You More Than Youl'll Ever Know)
My Fav 1 of that song is the 1 by Kenny Lattimore I would also like 2see him play (Stormy Monday Blues) Bobby Bland then I would like 2see if he could pull off (You Are My Starship) michael henderson & norman connors. I REALLY think that would be a GREAT song that he & his band could do an alsome job at! with the sax and johns guitar and smooth voice. NOW THAT WOULD BE REALLY COOL! I bet it would sound great. and for my last song WHICH I HIGHLY DOUBT CAN BE DONE ON A GUITAR BUT would LOVE it to be!!! is By Duke Ellington & John Coltrane (In A Sentimental Mood) I know its jazz REAL TRUE JAZZ but maybe you could turn it into more of some kind of ah blues type syle or do it blues/R&B with ah fat ass beat then come in with your guitar and play the parts that are john hehe John thats funny. John play john lol. But on some real sh!t theres this video thats up on youtube playing a remix that I love and really I could see you doing something like that remix. put in some extra beats with some bass and some sweet type of solo that would be something SWEET in deed!! for I can say without ah doubt in my mind that sentimental mood is truly by far my fav. song in all the WORLD!!!!!!!!! and it would AMAZE me if you could do that. So with all my hopes Mr. John Mayer would you please consider one of my Lovely songs. Thanks, Little

Hey Tolly, John checks in here quite frequently actually. He's mentioned it a lot.
And just now he tweeted: johncmayerI love reading message boards about the new album. Songs that people think won't make the album are the centerpieces. Wait, is that bad? You can take all the tricks up my sleeve.... |
