See I thought that was common knowledge... "spearfishing" You actually think he was talking about hiring him a boat and running off the coast to hunt for an actual fish?? Let's be blunt here... when Carl says anything.... and lately I am lumping Ben in there too... (Used to think he was the sane one..guess not... gotta keep up with big brother I guess.) nothing that is said on twitter from the Mayer bro's should be taken as commonplace, or even socially acceptable. Most things they say or people are interested in, have some vague reference to something sexual or crass or vulgar or just politically or socially offensive, and wrong..... and if it doesn't...I am sure it is a private joke and it does. Sometimes they cross the line and someone must call them on it because they apologize and then go right back to where they were before.

John runs hot and cold. He zings one out there at times and then reigns himself in with the gratitude ones. I find it fascinating that he knows it to the extent that he actually twitters about it. What did he say?

I guess just in case we imbeciles don't get that he knows he has been naughty and now he has to tell us something musical or something on how he loves his fans to get back on track...

I think the Mayer boys just have an insane desire for the disease called "look at me, aren't I just the cleverest person to ever walk the earth? And whoa to you all you common folk that are so beneath me." Twitter is the new topic of the water cooler... For these guys, having someone famous as your brother has it's perks...can't be famous in your own right for something you have accomplished? ...then ride your brother's coat tails.

Face it, if they were not Mayer's brothers do you think they would have anyone but their friends following either one of them?

I think for a social viewpoint and how our society is today, how people connect with one another?...It is a fascinating experiment. I get the face book thing, I understand twitter and it's role in how people keep in touch.

But when it comes to celebrities or even celebrities entourages... I am ever amazed at how much they spew out. But I guess if they didn't have that, look at me gene in the first place...if they need all this attention from strangers and John Q public to function... well then they wouldn't be celebrities in the first place. They would be happy just telling Aunt Julie how the dog ate the newspaper and the baby just got a new tooth ... or find that long lost friend that they lost contact with.

But instead, I guess it is increasingly important for your fans to know that Ben Mayer farted or that John's
balls were hit by toilet spray flush or whatever fleeting thought Carl has.

So to bring it back around... John made the twitter hot topics with his new holiday and Carl, not to be outdone, because if you can't be them... then try to outdo them.... wanted his own 10 minutes in the twitter trending topics hall of fame..

But sadly, he was not important enough in his own right to make spearfishing fly, and he had to enlist the aid of Wentz who he thanked on his twitter for pushing it to the top, so spearfishing could be a trending topic just like his brother for a few minutes, anyway.

Hey I lurk lately, this has all gotten a bit banal for me...between tours, who gives a fuck..When there is music, then I will get excited again. get the recorder out and be posting about the new stuff....so until then I peak my head in to see, now and then, and take a deep breath and click right out.

So I figure since I am not posting, when I do... might as well spew all this out. Hey I don't twitter, so this is my equivalent.

Oh and while twitter is a topic??? Jason Mraz, please stop being so grateful, it's getting really trite. I would have been more impressed if you could have written it yourself instead of your hula hoop woman... Hey I have to give him props though. I do know when he is playing . Now that is a good use of twitter for extra shows and tour news. It has it's upsides.
