and adam you can eat a dick. Yes.. I am the "I make water guy" and I do make water and pretty good money too. I choose to give my money to companies
for products that are made in countries where you can earn a good living for your family, have access to health care, etc. If you think there's something
wrong with that fuck you, and go make me a sandwich.

why does this shit always turn into an international bashing? i'm an american and actually have a job right now that's probably a few bucks more an
hour than someone building guitars elsewhere and i only have access to health care because i pay for it out of my own pocket every month. my brother who is a
freelance filmmaker has zero health insurance because it's too expensive for him to pay for flat out and he has no ties to a large company that will pay
part of it. every system has its flaws. buy your product based on the quality of the product, not whatever person built the damn thing or where it was built.

bosko im just giving you shit becaue i hadnt been on a thread with you in a while. I agree with you that China is pretty fucked up, hence why i find it hard to
pay for some of the guitars that come out of there. China goods were always lowest of the low to me...so when i see american companies outsourcing products to
be made in china, and then sell them to the US at a rate i think is not cool, then i have a problem.
BUT, i will say, some jobs in the US are overpaid for what they are. And im not talking about VPs of companies that have the stroke of luck to work their way up the dick sucking ladder, im talking about assembly line workers that plug widget A into hole B, and expect to get paid $70 an hour and have a guranteed job and healthcare for life...thats just not cool to me...and the Unions flex so hard they cripple our auto market. |

Toyota makes cars in North America too, screw the union propaganda. As for your health care system, I am all to well aware of it. I lived in Orlando for 3 years, and I got hurt at work and got denied health services because I didn't realize that I had to go to a specific hospital that accepted my benefits. I had to call the number on the back of my card and get directions to a clinic that would accept my health benefits (which my employer was paying $400 per month for). This was all while I was bleeding profusely from the hand. Hopefully Obama can change that for our friends to the south, I know I won't go live there again unless something changes. |

Changing the system, something that is needed, but its going to open up a can of worms. For instance, if there is federal healthcare, and lets just assume its
legit, then employers will stop paying for employee healthcare, which, has always been thought of as compensation. However, i doubt any company would then pay
out that money to the employees in their salery.
Here is an example. you can now get a federal credit for carpooling in the DC area. The credit was something like $300 bucks. as soon as this went into effect, commuter van companies jacked their price $300. see.... The problem with an society compact, is that there are way to many assholes out there who dont give a shit about any except them selves....im not saying people should get free rides, im just saying there are way to many people who take advantage of the system on the entire spectrum. |

well, I can tell you how our system works in Canada. You get basic health care and such for free (paid by taxes) from the government. This includes family
doctor visits, specialists, etc. pretty much anything that is not considered cosmetic. Then if you have a decent job, your work pays for insurance for dental,
optical, and a drug plan. The costs for a plan like that are considerable still, but far less than a full plan. This type of system not only helps the less
fortunate obtain basic life care, but attracts companies who are looking to lower their operating costs. Toyota recently put a new assembly plant in my area
and they stated that the lower health benefit costs were one of the reasons they chose to come here. Now... there's people that say that service here is
too slow etc, and how it's soooo much better in the states, but I know better since I've lived in both countries. There are wait problems in both
systems... making health care prohibitively expensive is not the answer to wait times.

dude, way to take a fantastic stance. i didnt like bush because he didnt give me any confidence. It had nothing to do with his policies, who he appointed,
anything about him as a man, other than the fact that he could not step up to a mic, and sound like a reasonable, educated person. Instead i led my life for 8
years wondering what crayon drawings were being done in the oval office. ALL bush had to do was not appear as an idiot. most politicians are idiots, they just
dont appear to be. Bush couldnt even master the art of looking presentable and not like a total dip shit. but thats just my opinion...i know many people who
think that does not matter, but to me, it speaks bounds about the type of person he is.
For the record i dont subscribe to the dems or the republicans, if you fully associate yourself with either of these groups lets fucking duel...both of them are killing our world |
