I live 34 miles south of the 4th snowiest city (Syracuse) and about 35 miles north of the 15th snowiest in the country. My family lives in Syracuse so I go back and forth a few times a week, the highway in between can get really ugly. Cortland doesn't get as much as they do because we're off of the plateau that catches all the super heavy snow storms, but we sure do get our share. It's been snowing here pretty constant for a few weeks now and it's a pain in the arse! I am in the market for a new (used) car and I'm trying to get my hands on another subaru just because they're amazing in the snow! Yeah...we NYers tend to plan our lives around the snow, it's kinda sad.

And just for the Record, I grew up IN the 12th snowiest. We probably got about 3 snow days per year, give or take. It either had to be like 30 below 0 or a complete white out for them to cancel school!
