You do understand that the point of the vaccine isn't to just prevent the STD, but to prevent cervical cancer that is caused by the STD, right? So a vaccine to prevent cancer is a bad idea? I'm guessing making it the law could make health insurance that might otherwise not want to cover the vaccine, have to cover it? And I don't get the argument that giving the vaccine to girls will make them more likely to have sex. There are many, many other STDs, not to mention AIDS, that don't have a vaccine that should prevent the girls who are only not having sex because they are scared of STDs. I'm not completely sure about it becoming a law, but I also can't give any weight to any reason someone wouldn't want their daughter to have a vaccine that could prevent her from having cancer one day.
