This site has some good stuff on it - scroll down - www.virtualtourist.com/tr...G-C-1.html

The Parthenon in Centennial Park is on there, which I recommend.

I would also recommend the Frist Center for the Visual Arts - www.fristcenter.org

The Opryland Hotel is gorgeous, and they always have neat stuff going on. Check out this link - www.gaylordhotels.com/gay...erfest.cfm

You might see Ben Folds at Bongo Java. I also like Portland Brew on 12th. But if you are downtown, Caffeine might be closer.

Check these sites for shows and other things going on when you're here - www.nashvillescene.com and www.nashvillerage.com

Good places to eat:

Calypso Cafe - healthy food, kind of a Carribean vibe

Baja Burrito - cheap, healthy, and good!

Noshville - one on 21st and one in Green Hills

Las Palmas - yummy Mexican at a good price

Las Paletas - Mexican gourmet popsicles - sooooo good! They are on 12th south, where it meets Kirkland on the northwest corner. There's not a sign, but it's a reddish building. I seriously recommend a special trip even if you aren't in the area.

You could also check out the Belcourt Theatre - indie/documentary type movies

Music stores:

Grimey's Pre-Loved Music

Great Escape - used CDs as well as records, tour posters, DVDs, video games, etc.

There's also a Tower Records on West End.
