I picked up a Danelectro Cool Cat vibe and while it's not an 'official' vibe in the traditional sense (no internal lights etc) it has amazing sound that is almost impossible to distinguish from the really expensive ones. Built like a tank, true bypass and very sensitive controls that allow you an incredibly subtle adjustments. Wide open it's thick and creamy and Robin rower would be proud. Try one and I'm sure you'll come away shocked at how sweet it really is.
I've heard good things about the Dano, I actually like there pedals that come in metal housings like the cool cat line and the older ones. I have a 18v cool Cat chorus and it is pretty sweet. A bit noisy but I've been running it at 12v so that might have something to do with it. I'm about to get a pedal board soon and a new power supply, trying to put together the last few pieces.

Right now this is the pedal I'm leaning towards. It seems simple, sounds great, is small, true bypass, and not too expensive at 119. Seems to really nail that throbbing Hendrix tone, but keep the suggestions coming I'm sure there are a bunch more out there that I haven't heard of
