some things of note;

sound system; WOW ... i think its too new, haha. i was 5th row, and my ears are shot to pieces ... it was very loud, a bit too heavy on the bass end ... i went up to grab a water mid-show, and the sound a bit higher is much better

light; talk about technology .. i'm a huge DMB goer, and these new lights were kick ass. basically, there are 8 of them hung from a ring above john, and they rotate up and down, and swivel back and forth ... these guys are HUGE .. they come down to about 12' off the ground to 30' in the air ... pretty sweet. they were remote controlled and were able to shine a spot on everyone in the band. pretty sweet.

lastly was the curtain. they had it up before the show, and it showed the oldtime black and white countdown from back in the old days on movies .. then had sweet videos shown on the curtain .. halfway through the first song, the white curtain opened along its track ..... the curtain was put back up for the 1st song of the encore....

also, before assass (my favorite song), john went wireless and was able to walk up a cool ramp he had on both ends of the stage ... talk about body gear for that .. he had on commando cargo pants, and i think every pocket was filled ... after song, he switched back to normal clothes. no wonder they had a 4 min break before and after that song .... they had to hook him up!

overall, i would give this show an 8/10 ... this is probably my 5th show ... was very enjoyable.

cheers!
