That's likely coming from something that wasn't properly kiln dried prior to dressing it out - but again - who the hell am I? Everyone else seems to be the 'expert'.

The only time that I've ever seen that happen was on my acoustic when it sat in a rain of fire-hoses for the better part of 2-3 hours as the apartment above mine was in flames.

Sometimes shit just happens. I dunno. When wood dries, it tends to go where it wants to. A couple coats of danish oil should help, but its still going to do what it wants over the next 30 years.
