Ever occur to you that maybe other people read the message board to read topics exactly like this person is raising, whether it's for school or not?

Nikki/Folkie/Whatever you feel like going by these days,

Yes, it does occur to me that people read the message board to find out answers for pleasure, however, a simple google search would answer their own questions faster than waiting for someone in the forum to do it, and possibly answer future questions all in one! Considering the speed at which information is available these days is so fast, I see no reason NOT to tell someone to type "John Mayer, acceptance speech, 2003" into a search engine. Two weeks of my 8th grade curriculum in music class is devoted to teaching the kids how to do internet research on musicians, so I feel like I have a just a tiny bit of knowledge about the subject. And everybody knows if you just give the kid the answer, they never learn how to do it on their own, hence my moral opposition to providing the full answer for our dear friend above.

I also reiterated what jocelyn said in suggesting she go to j-mayer.org which is like the John Mayer Encyclopedia in my opinion, especially when it comes to articles about the man's Grammys. If she's new to the board, she may not have known that website exists, but now she does! I frequent that site myself, despite knowing entirely too much about the man already because they manage to find stuff I'd never even stumble upon, even with my master-googling skills.

And believe me...if you think that was snark...you ain't seen nothing.
