Personally, I feel Paradise Valley has several good songs on it but a bunch of 'filler' as well. Well, I was so happy to hear all of the songs I feel were those good songs and none of the filler He had an instrumental interlude of Love is a Verb which was mostly a guitar solo which was downright dirty and superb. What more can I say at Lost at Sea...just incredible live. That is probably my favorite song on the new record, and I was elated to hear it live. A great chance to see Robbie Krieger from the Doors. Really cool factor obviously. Just a minor note about the set, I think the crowd was super-f'in-excited to see him but may have been underwhelmed by the song choices. A lot of people may not have heard PV yet, let a lone Born and Raised. I think people were dying for something from RFS, HT or even the Trio. I know I was a little bit. I'm a super fan and loved all the new stuff, but some of the people I was with and around in the crowd were kind of lost a little bit because they didn't know a third of the set. Inside the set you have Going Down the Road, Fool to Love you, Free Falling and Call me the Breeze. That's a lot of covers, and I think the crowd would have been AMAZED to hear the same treatment Half of my Heart got to a Georgia, Neon, Come to Call (if he's looking for a jam), and so on. All in all, great show - great to see him after three years and excited for the growth the tour will show come the arenas in the winter.
