Really wonderful show last night. I hadn't planned to go but good fortune found me last minute and I was able to attend. Admittedly, I haven't kept up with news about this tour or heard any material from Paradise Valley prior to last night. More than anything, I am just such a proud fan today after seeing JM happy and healthy and back on stage doing what only he can. It was like seeing an old friend whose gone through hell and made it through to the other side with new and better parts. The energy of the show was different than for past tours, a bit more muted but no less powerful.

The only song I truly needed to hear last night was Born and Raised, and I'm glad I heard it. There's something about that song that reaches me on a personal level and I've loved it from the first moment I heard it on the album. Live is so much more intense and palpable. After he played that, I just thought to myself, "Well, I'm done now and I'm a happy clam." And Gravity will always, absolutely always, be in my top 5, perhaps even top 2, songs to hear at a JM show. I never get sick of it and I never cease to find relevance in it.

I look forward to purchasing Paradise Valley and listening to the songs. After my taste last night, I'm sure I'll love it. Hope y'all enjoy the rest of the tour. Be well, be safe, be happy.
