Video 1: Here's the figure from "Little Sur" that combines a moving bass line and a chord that rings out over it. This is a lot of what I practice at home, developing grooves on the guitar that involve more than one line. The trick is to let the strings of the chord ring out without hitting them while fingering the bass line.

Here's the same idea but the way I played it during the solo vamps... Instead of letting the top chords ring I chop them up so they have their own groove that works against the bassline...
