Perhaps criticizing wasn't an accurate term, but saying you prefer his version is different than saying he sang it better and then bringing Beyonce's songwriting credibility into the discussion. *Kanye shrug*

And I'm really happy the song is doing well because like someone else said, it's laying the foundation so that the next record can reach as many ears as possible, but I don't think the recent success of the song is indication that JM's version is superior. It just means that people are ready to hear it now as opposed to in Dec. when it was usurped by the popularity of "Drunk in Love."
