Still a work in progress, but I like where it's heading so far. Feel free to leave any comments or suggestions!

I love it man! Once you dig into the volume levels a bit its going to be fantastic. Just some feedback for ya - Take the guitar level down a few notches, it
will give you more space for later. After a bridge you can really dig into the guitar to make some magic happen.

Great job man! I like that a lot. I agree with the advice above. I feel like you need to build to something... A good bridge into a ripping solo would be very
cool!

Dude that was freaking great...I would mix the guitar down a tish but other than that, freaking great beat.
What did you use? the only thing, I kinda agree, near the end I was waiting for a huge breakdown that finished the song off, but other than that, it was awesome dude.

I've listened to this several more times tonight and think that if you build it up to a solid bridge, then into a ripping solo, you could run the solo into
a rhythmic/melodic outro. Mayer has done this many times but the best example I can think of on the spot is the solo/outro at the end of Simmering Medly (later
became belief).
Check it out here to see what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4J7Uiji9Ss I think something like that would fit REALLY well with what you've already done. Whatever you do with it, PLEASE post the finished product because I think this has a lot of potential! |

God, this is one of the cooler things I've ever heard on this board....I listen to a shat load of this type of music and you're sitting at a solid 9
right now so whatever you do with the song it's great BUT if you want that ten....I think after the given outro you have now come back in with the bass,
and heavier bigger louder drums and stacking and some kick ass distortion and you will have a perfect song.
Or do nothing and make ten more like this and i'll buy the record...

Thanks for all the advice guys. I tend to hit a wall when it comes to this point in a song. I can get a pretty killer a section going, but can't really get
a b section that vibes well with it, thus my problem with building it up to something.
I've got some perfect lead licks for this that are just waiting to be thrown in there somewhere, so I'm going to try Luca's idea with combining it into the outro. |

My setup is kind of a mess -
For this I'm using my PRS CE22 in Eb for all the guitar parts (hotrod deville 2x12 + guitar rig 3), the kick and snare are from some samples I found and everything else is played on my keystation using the synths/keys that come packaged with Ableton Live. I used to be a protools guy, but after fighting with compatibility issues (m-powered + 64 bit OS don't mix) I decided to make the switch and couldn't be happier. |

Very cool, I use logic but I most curious about the throbbing bass that you have going on in the tune is that just the plugin from the keyboard?

I'll open up the file when I get home tonight and have a look.
