Has anybody noticed that John's own JM sig strats have the string tree in the original spot? not nearer the headstock tip. The CFM and the Shoreline Gold ..not sure about the CM I wonder what the markings are at the back of the headstock. If I remember correctly they are masterbuilt right? Does anybody have a photo of the back? This is the sunburst proto 002 I think it went up for sale somewhere if im not mistaken

If I would build one I'm thinking there would be either only a stripe or a pickguard. I'm wondering how the stripe would do in the middle and with the pickguard on.

Posts: 1911 (02/24/2012 8:34 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	When my tech assembled and set up guitar, he thought pickguard didn't look good, so he left it off to show me and I agreed. It made guitar look cheap, however, I might have tech make me same La Cab pickguard, but in Chrome (his idea)....might look yummy. La Cab's are ZZ Top like soundinhg beasts with TV Jones Pickup(s), nothing mellow or pretty sounding- rock n' roll guitar. I think the two rock really makes the gretsch type pickups sound full but twangy-snappy. The first time I heard perfectly lonely, I really didnt realize what the pickups were.
