I'm studying in the UK and just got a JM sig strat, did some research found that the Blues Junior fit my need in terms of size and needs (bedroom amp yet loud enough to gig). But I have couple questions:1. I heard the BJ is a bright amp, could it get close to the mayer tone? or there's other amps round the same size and price? 2. If I'm going to get the BJ, I really like the tweed model compare to the tolex, although there's still the silver noir and two tone fsr still availabe, I read that the eminence lightening bolt speakers on them would make the amp even brighter and more 'brit marshall' sound? The problem is that i couldn't a single way to get a NOS tweed BJ in the UK, so should I go for the tolex version or the other two (fsr)?much appreciated

I wouldn't buy Jr. if looking to get close to JM tone, especially being able to afford JM Sig Strat. Save up to get new/used Two Rock Studo Pro 22-Watt Combo for $2,000.00- or less. Amp is primary source for JM tone and after you chase your tail with Jr's, Deluxe Reverbs and mods/speaker changes, pedal purchases, etc- you'll save yourself money and headaches in the long run.

Getting it because it's got the right speaker in it to do what you want is. I personally feel you'd do well to just get a blues jnr, and tweak it to how you want it, unless you know the Cannabis speaker is what you'll need to get the sound you want.
